I thought Pepple was bloody awful against us at VP last season. Couldnt trap a bag of cement and awful finisher.

Assume he had an off day.

 

Their lot sounded really sour on him on social media yesterday. All of a sudden he's a terrible player who is just a unit, not a bad unit if he brings in a 7 figure fee in the next few days!

Reading their tag yesterday, feels mixed on him. Few think they need him to stay to have a chance, a few think he's terrible and they should cash in, a few think he's going to leave and might rule himself out of the game today. They've publicly knocked back approaches from Cardiff and Portsmouth this summer.

 

Whether he stays at Plymouth or leaves it will be interesting to see how he does over the next couple of seasons. He's only 23 so got time ahead of him but at the moment all he's got behind him is an incredible 2nd half to last season and a good spell at Southend where he got 7 in 19 in the league. Last season he was only on 1 goal at after their boxing day match and only a back up player. His spells before this season aren't great with 5 in 22 at Chesterfield, 0 in 6 at Bromley and 0 in 11 at Grimsby.

I don't think it would be the biggest shock if he became one of these players who had 1 good half season and never repeated it again a bit like Jake Young who's scored 33 league goals, 16 game in that half season at Swindon

 

Seems like we have a few former Argyle players in our team.
