Fair enough didn’t realise they did, shows what I thought of his performance when i thought he was on about 10 minutes.

 

Agree Baldwin was really good. Your right about Smallwood he has a hot head.

 

How many times have we seen the opposite over the years.

 

Thought similar with Pointon, he looked so poor today outside his strike. Gave the ball away far too much and got carded and that's about it until he hammered it home.

Sometimes I wonder with Pointon if our style kind of stifles his play? Trying to drive us forward and creative avenues to no avail as nobody is on the same page. It's kind of like the others are playing to a plan and sometimes he's trying to do everything he can to impress, which is good, really good, but if the team aren't on the same page, they aren't making the runs with him and sometimes he look isolated in his thinking. But I suppose if he isn't a first teamer, why worry?

 

There were a few occasions where Wright had the ball down the left and Pointon could and should have made a run to drag the defenders away and allow Wright room to drive into but Pointon was just standing still.

Pointon clearly has loads of ability, in my opinion he just needs to work on the off the ball side of his game, which will naturally come with playing more and more.

 

Its quite often far harder to play against 10… A common acknowledgment in football .

 

Up until Bobby scored I thought he was poor compared to his intro against Salford ?

A cute cliche rather than a 'common acknowledgement'. The truth is that although it's not always easy as expected when a team goes down to 10 men the idea that it's actually harder is a bit of a stretch.

Yes a cliche professionals in the game commonly use. Because the basic defensive structure remains exactly the same irrespective of who gets sent off. So in their case they pulled one of their front two in to midfield still leaving them with a 5-3- 1 formation. That’s why I said what I said.
