The goal should have stood. VAR would have cleared the goal. It was quite clearly chest first and not handball. Poor decision by an easily swayed referee without the conviction of his own ability

 

Lots of endeavour with Neufville, Metcalfe and Bobby looking more like it but there's virtually zero quality out there.

Passing, movement and composure are all very poor so far.

 

It was most definitely hand ball.

 

We know they have in the past conversing with the referee about managers abusing him and give yellows even reds to managers in the past.

 

Ref never signalled for a goal mind. I reckon he suspected it was handball but wanted to consult those who might have had a better angle.

TBF it was blatant. I sit in C block behind the dugouts and we could all clearly see that it was handball. I was amazed the ref and Lino didn’t see it.
But if the decision has been made on the basis of a tv replay shown to the 4th official then that is really dubious. VAR by stealth.

 

How does a bloke on the half way line have a better angle though.

But this is VAR by default in my view. His arm was down, what is he supposed to do? The ref was 10 yds away the 4th official is at the half way line. They were responding to the Doncaster officials

 

Compared to our last performances were very much in the game, it's there to be won.

 

Halftime would have been the perfect opportunity to get Mullin on. I hope we are not waiting for them to score before making changes
