Good to get the win and put that poor run to bed as well as a poor run against them.

They have some threats. Let's hope they can take some points off the teams around us.

Good to see us playing on the floor a lot more.. still some hoofs but all in all a much better performance. Hope we can kick on now and come away from Luton with something.
The two new players are both strong and will cause problems for defences going forward.
Humphrys disappointing again, Pointon more involved but still not where he was, Metcalfe a calming influence and Power getting 2 shots on target! Tyreik must have heard his song.. great goal.

Ref checked with both linesman. The 4th official and the tea bar staff in the kop before giving the goal

    Ahhhh that’s more like it!
Tyriek Wright - that’s class. Even the doubters of him will have to admit that.

Thought we were worthy of the win today. Looked a little shaky at times but much more like our earlier season self going forward. Power and Metcalfe were again decent and happy to see Neufville and Pointon much better than recent weeks.

Jackson looks decent. Mullin exactly what we have missed up front. How he had several decisions against him I don’t know - he gave an outlet we missed as soon as he got going.

Handball in first half was correct decision but thought the ref was mostly poor.

Far more positive performance and a much needed result.

Surprised there was no phone a friend involved as well. Shocker of a process despite been the corrects one in the end.

Shame he didn’t take the same diligence when Mullin was wrestled down in their box

Total change of attitude today from the lads. Jackson and Mullin did well to introduce themselves to thier defence. Screamer from Wright. And lots of individual battles.

Like Max said earlier the team needed to throw a few punches back and against Doncaster we did just that.

Sometimes the best form of defence is attack and when we forgot that at times today it allowed them to build up.

All players played thier part today.

    Bring on the Luton

Was sure our goal was going to be chalked off for Roberto Carlos (AKA Josh running it out of play !

It seems to me that when Metcalfe plays well, we play well.

We've played against teams who've packed the midfield recently. He had more space today and was influential in getting us forward as well as winning the ball. Excellent performance but we can't be relying on one young lad.

Bang on when he comes on he not merely won more headers than Humphrys but gave the defenders a hard time, surely Alexander must know you cant just stick someone up top and expect them to do whats it's taken the likes of Mullin and Cook a career to master, even when Mullin didnt win headers he barged the defenders not allowing them to get their full head to the ball, hardlty a classic but do we care back to winning ways and that all todays game was about 3 points.

Proud of that performance. Robust, committed and determined. New lads both did brilliantly and perhaps showed loanees already in the door the level expected.

Mullin, part shit house, part graft; a forward! Liking the home town aspect of Jackson, think that will amplify his impact.

A welcome turn around given the previous week.

very much needed win over a bogey side and to stabilise our season

Walker - couple of good saves but distribution was poor on a couple of occasions

Neufville - back to his best and deserves a run in the team now. Think Jackson compliments him well

Pennington - all over the place. Distrubtion poor and lucky not to be caught out on a number of occasions

Baldwin - Best from the defensive line. Some great diagonal balls in the first half

Tilt - Won some important free kicks but was a liability for most of the game to be honest. Distribution and positioning poor. Should not be on the left side of a back 3. Molyneux had him on toast. Reckon a new LCB will be coming in over the next few days

Touray - Gradually dropping in performances which is a bit of a worry but looked much more composed once shifted to LCB

Metcalfe - solid 7/10 as always

Power - better than previous games. Still needs to get that booking out the way with

Pointon - better than previous games. Hopefully the injuries are past him

Humphrys - anonymous as usual. Think thats the end of the striker experiment

Jackson - Had a great debut. Aggressive; pressing, linking up well with Neufville. Exactly what the team misses when Sarc isnt playing. Believe he’l become a fan favourite as time goes on

    the subs

Wright - What a beauty of a goal. Deserves his plaudits

Mullin - il hold my hands up on this one. He looks great and appears to have more left in the tank than some thought. The goals will come but he definitely suits our style of play when we press

Lapslie - another one I got wrong. He was crap and thats putting it mildly. Mullin has a few years on him and was running after every loose ball, Lapslie spent most the game jogging and giving away free kicks. A move to a league two team might be best after all

Wright (the other one) - did a good job

looking forward to the next few days of the window. The transfer department might not be off their rockers after all

Lincoln away , there wasn't anyone worthy of more than 6/10 , today every one of the lads were worthy of more than 6/10 , if that makes sense ?

One of the poorest referees ive seen. Easily bullied and swayed into decisions. It was pretty obvious to me that the ball hit Jacksons goal but last I checked, League One hasn’t got VAR and shouldnt impact decisions made
