why we cant get a striker in is beyond me.

 

I cant see Cook being worse than Humphrys. At the very least he’d be able to win some Ariel balls, would help out at set pieces in box boxes and would play for the badge. Watched Humphrys closely in the last two games and he's barely got out of second gear. Not saying that Cook is the answer but the way we are playing can only be accommodated by one type of striker, and unfortunately within our ranks, he happens to be at Grimsby

 

good point humphrys should be on the left, with swan up front when he is fit.
I also liked it when swan played with cook. the only one who did not was the manager.

 

And I’ve not said he’s the problem, but he’s part of a defensive unit that simply can’t find a team mate. My post was in response to him being above criticism, he isn’t non of them are. I agree though he finds a team mate no less than any other the others atm. As for being rushed, all keepers are, it’s the modern way to press right to the keeper. Lincoln and Huddersfield’s seemed to find them with more accuracy.

 

There may be issues with cook who knows. But the current formation is not working as we can all see. They get a bit of leeway from me but as a manager top team of advisors currently it’s not working. We have rinsed Sarc dry so we need another cheeky midfielder and a striker to aim for. Sort it out boys … we need some fresh impetus.

 

Just watched the lowlights and we are now defending like a sunday league side. Backing off, not laying a glove on the opposition.

It's not backing off, it's a strategic retreat in the battle to stave off a top 6 position.

Aye. Give it another 6 years and we'll be flying into those tackles when, although we're 16th, we'll be at least "ready" for a promotion push.

We can file Rupp affording to take us to the championship, under buying the ground back and looking at building a training facility. Ain’t going to happen. He says what he thinks we want to hear without actually delivering.

 

What was sad to see on Tuesday was fan on fan arguments.

People are angry at a shite display, their right is to chant and be self deprecating... would i do it? No. But i also wouldn't start offering out city fans in retaliation. It's a highly emotive sport....

Need to stick together, and even with the players. The players got us to 2nd at Christmas.

 

I think there is a sense of realism among most fans, there is also a very large slice of disappointment at what currently looks like an ill prepared January transfer window and a complete silence from the people running the club. we heard plenty from them up until December
The majority of players that have left, although playing little part in the climb to second , were fans favourite's, especially Cook
With the down turn in form and no adequate replacements, the three loans so far look poor , plus injuries and loss of form to all three of our top scorers and persisting with Humps up front as a target man lone striker has produced the perfect storm. It could be bad luck or bad planning
Either way fans have a right to feel aggrieved. Many travel a long way and spend lots of money and deserve better than performances of late.

 

every player we are signing are loaned to us. what do we expect
they are players not wanted by there club.
lets have silent whip round at the gate. wonder how much we would get.
