There are quite a few concerning things but one of the big ones for me which can't be fixed with a striker is how many shots we concede away from home. Going back through the last 7 away league games including tonight we've conceded 18,14,7,14,14,14,18. If we don't improve this then it's going to be very hard to get wins away from home as you are likely to need to score 2+ and have a combination of great defending/goalkeeping and poor finishing.

To be fair with the players let go the garbage that Aexander has brought in we played quite well.

 

We’ve a poor midfield. Power’s been dire lately and Metcalfe, after a good month, has been struggling last three games. Our system might not help them but we’ve zero control or dominance in recent matches - the peppering of shots against the end result?

 

The Cardiff “fightback” was only because they took their foot off the gas at 2-0.
Yes we improved but I think Cardiff could have gone up 2 gears if really needed.

Took a worldy from Metcalfe to even get back in the game.

These last 2 games have taken it to a new low though.

 

I was about to say the same. We are consistently outnumbered and overrun in midfield. The defence must feel like King Canute.

 

Our xG was 0.03 according to the stat guy on twitter. How spectacularly bad do you have to be rate that low?

 

Extremely spectacularly bad.

 

That credit in the bank is quickly evaporating. I know it’s been bad the last couple of games and we know the trend has been coming, but it didn’t take long for some of our fans to turn on the squad, manager and management team. This isn’t championship manager 25/26 where we can just bring in who we want. If players have asked to leave for more game time, what else can they do? Do we go out and spend big money on a player that won’t guarantee promotion or be forced to keep players who aren’t happy? The heart of the squad seems to have been ripped out but most of those who left haven’t been playing anyway, but they all added to the togetherness. The disappointment is their replacements haven’t made the impact we needed. We as fans need to stick with the team and not throw the toys out of the pram after the first sticky patch in a year. It hurts but we’re still over performing in terms of position. All eyes on Graham to turn this squad around before it gets really bad. Doncaster next who have turned a corner and will be looking to pour more pain on a team severely lacking in confidence.

 

Second time since since 2019 that we've failed to register a shot in the first half of a game..... The other game was in November. This team has been getting worse for months now and January just seems to be the culmination of a lot of bubbling issues.

We concede far too many efforts and just the 2 tonight is an all time worry. Change it Graham and fast!

 

Spirit of the team seems to have gone.Tinkering,favouritism to players who impress in training somehow and shipping out solid players for loanees.Cant see a loan striker solving this.

 

well mid table wont be that bad first try in div one.
