Similar happened to Leigh. He got smashed in the face right on the half way line. It was quite a physical display from their CB’s. Often they were blocking and pulling any runners to prevent any forward runs/through balls.

 

I cannot stand the man. Bradford was there for the taking!! We weren’t great but more than enough for delusional Derek, obsession with winding up City Fans.

 

Good result, lacklustre performance but we did enough to get all 3 points, thanks to an excellent save from Walker. Now onto the most important game of the season on Saturday.

I think another alternative could be that he's undergoing a mini pre season (GA has spoken about these before for players with long spells of inactivity) but he's on the bench because a) we want him involved with the squad and b) we're still trying to get a taker for Oliver and don't want him picking up any more knocks.

I wouldn't say it was a clear dive, but Pattison was certainly looking for the contact. Ref was correct to just ignore it.

 

Do we look past GA for the recently successful climb up the table for a little bit of balance?

 

To be fair, once Leigh moved up front he seemed determined to run into the back of the defenders. He did it 4 or 5 times. He's either doing it to slow himself down because he knows he isn't likely to get to the ball, or, cynically, to hide but look 'involved'.

I think the former, but I'll be watching to see if it's just a false challenge in future.

I think he gave up on it thinking Pattison would shoot himself. Crazy really as he'd ran half the length of the pitch to get there.

 

Two bogey fixtures / teams played and 6 points gained from them both in the last two weeks!

 

Grimsby and Swindon this season spring to mind. Both those sides were utter gash, Morecambe on the night were better than both but its form over the season that counts and they're going down.

 

The word “ dour” was invented just for him.

 

Didn’t GA say he hadn’t played 90 mins for 15 months?

 

We won and played well when battering Grimsby.
