That post match interview from Alexander was not his best. I usually come away from a interview with some truth of what happened from Alexander but today's interview was fantasy Bullsh!t.

Baldwin cost us the goal by switching off. Without that it's 0 0 and a very good point.

I must admit I am a huge GA fan for all sorts of reasons but the post match interview today was first time I thought he was a bit ratty. I think he’s allowed one every now and again. Most important thing now is to learn from the defeat but more importantly learn from the manner of the defeat. I believe he was right, we’ve punched above our weight so far this year and the cheques coming out now in League 1 are much, much more than we can raise. Top two looks really tough, think we need a few more in to be confident of top 6. PS: don’t be too despondent- just look how other three promoted teams are doing.

Bang on.

We are 3rd well in to January and all of a sudden some are happy to yank themselves stupid if we get top 10.

We may never get a better chance to get in to the Championship.

We all know we weren’t expected to be where we are.

Does that mean settling for top 10 because that’s where some think we should be?

If you line up 2 against three in midfield you'll get annihilated. Like last week against Cardiff and today and Bolton, Mansfield, the list goes on. We got away with it early season because our wide play was so good and dragged an opposing midfielder across but now that's gone we're overrun in midfield week after week. You'd have thought our management team could see this but apparently not. When we have the ball at the back there's no midfield or wide option so we go long to a lone non-striker in Humphrys with two alleged attacking players sitting on the touchline contributing nothing. It's a mindless setup and it's a mark of the unfortunate flaw in GA's management that his stubbornness won't let him admit that the system no longer works. And it hasn't for a long time now. Not that it's particularly his system. When he came he told us he always wanted to play with 2 up top. And he only adopted this system when he was forced into it by Cook's injury. So no one would blame him if he changed to, say, 3-5-2. But, much as I like the man, his refusal to accept what's as clear as day to most supporters is becoming very frustrating. And to put much of the blame for today on the ref as he did in his post-match interview was frankly pathetic.

Some of the posts on here over the last few days and this afternoon aimed at those above Alexander are mental. Sparks isn’t putting the team out and we know full well how well this team can play on their day.

 

We got beaten by the better side today , we shouldn't hang the players out to dry man for man Hudds are better than us and made it look easy, we couldn't get hold of the ball. Physically stronger, quicker, technically better, over pretty much all the park.

I am not annoyed. Just fed up with mixed messages. Most balls out of our defence went to their players or to Humphs with snow. The only time we didn’t, skinned his man and put o skimmer cross into the 6 yard box. Tumbleweeds. What style am I playing ?!? Any ft three centre half’s mop up those hoofs all day.

 

It was in July. Pragmatism wise.
But the funding needed to continue the form is utterly absent.

You seemed to be conveniently forgetting the miss of the season from Gooch. Baldwin had a poor game today, but then so did the rest of them bar Walker. I'll reiterate, it's our defence that sees us third not our impotent attack. Way more important things to sort out than a defence that's generally done well.
