I remember Geoffrey Richmond doing his quid a kid scheme but not applying it to Huddersfield fans. There was uproar with Pennine radio siding with Huddersfield (They used to cover both clubs in the 90s and choose each week who to have commentary on). The Huddersfield directors refused to go in the boardroom after the game. Geoffrey went barmy and moaned in the club program afterwards. It was the start of massive tensions between City and Huddersfield with the Kevin Gray Gordon Watson incident a few years later adding to the tension.

It wasn't picked originally by Sky then police moved it so Sky picked it up. I'm pretty certain that Sky tactically didn't pick the game as they picked the reverse fixture and they knew it would be moved by police so it gives them a bonus match to show. Also they had already picked the Cardiff, Doncaster and Luton games so they can't be accused of moving 4 Saturday games in a row

Over a period of games perhaps but for the first game - I don't. Its almost as ludicrous as the curse of manager of the month. Stats showed a first game win percentage of 37% for new managers in the history of the Premier League.

Huddersfield away will be tough no matter who is on charge. Grant had a very good home record. They sit 5th in that table, just 4pts behind us.
