What pub is best for a beer in Carlisle pre and post game? I am coming down from Edinburgh on the train to watch the game.

 

I know folk are saying they are bottom of the table etc etc but they could almost have half a completely new team playing tomorrow.

Be interesting to see how they gel together.

Early goal for us would be superb.

 

How to you know who is a “ genuine” City fan……Asking for a friend . It’s difficult on here at times….

 

And they aren't exactly poor signings. Seems like their manager wants players from the North East or he knows from previous clubs that will no doubt give everything to the cause. We are rubbish away from home and have a naff record there (and no cook!) it's a really tough game to call imo.

 

We've far too much optimism going around at the minute, it's just not "City".

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see us finally win there and win well, as they have lots of new signings to bed in and it could be a disaster to do it all at once. Then again, I wouldn't put it past us to go there and not show up as we always seem to do and their new lads play with no fear and pump us.

 

I agree. Difficult one to call. Their new players by some miracle gell instantly even though common sense tells me otherwise. I am nervous because GA likes to mess with the team. For me this game is a key match win this one and confidence will surge in both players and fans. Lose it and we will know GA gremlins have not left the field of play.

 

When do we ever get at teams from the off ?

 

I don’t think he will mess tbh. I can see Mellon, Leigh and Lapslie all on the bench with say Byrne & Johnson .

The thinking is Leigh on for Sarcevic and Mellon on for Kav later in the game?

Im guessing bar injuries , it will be the same starters as Grimsby . The only unknown is Johnson in for Baldwin perhaps ?

 

If your coming down by train and your wearing Bradford colours then the old Bill will probably herd you into the Griffin just outside the station. However if your not wearing Bradford colours (we have a lot of fans come down from Scotland) then you'll be able to go wherever you like.
Only place anywhere near the ground for away fans is The Rugby Club, however they don't seem to know their heads from their backsides in there at times, and with being an early kick off, I'm not even sure it will be open.
There is the 'fan zone' right outside the old main stand, and I've seen away fans there, however it does get bloody busy.

 

Seems like Carlisle don’t know who their man up front is tomorrow ? Armstrong going to Fleetwood or Motherwell perhaps with the lad from Man U released back by Wigan coming in . This gets dafter ? .

 

Well if they weren't registered before noon (I think) they can't play tomorrow.

If Armstrong is available for a fair price I honestly think we could do a lot worse than trying to sign him if we are looking for an aerial presence and a focal point to replace Cook.

 

It wouldn't be any weirder than the Tommy Leigh signing.

Some players don't do well at certain clubs.

 

Could be a chance to get a few minutes into our fringe players against non-league opposition tomorrow once we go 2 or 3 up.

Save our players for the game against the league leaders the following week which will be night and day in comparison to tomorrow in terms of opposition quality.

Will be nice to royally stuff them after that play-off pitch invasion.

 

There's a few folk on here who seem to revel in writing the opposition managers pre match talk for them.

 

I’m not sure BB…. £500,000 or what ever they paid, I didn’t see it tbh…..Other than Carlisle starting the panic buying spree and in a willy waving contest with the other Americans ?

£50,000 max.!

 

I will be looking for a ticket either at Carlisle train station or in the Griffin pub tomorrow. If nothing pops up I will just go in the Carlisle end.
