It’s was about minutes in legs, same with Johnson, Pattison , Richards and I think Bobby was oiked half way through the second. They haven’t been on grass for 10 days apparently. I don’t read much into it tbh.

 

Saturday is a big game for us.
Carlisle is not a happy hunting ground , although not many places away from VP have been this season
We need the win any way we can and a point at the very very least.
Squad selection is going to be very interesting, especially the midfield/ forward positions
As for Carlisle, 7 new players already and wanting more before Saturday. How do you make that work, with just a week or so training, surely they can not gel
It smacks of complete desperation to me. Hope i am correct and they play like they appear to be. A bunch of strangers.

Its a big if andy seem to remember Crawley and Morecambe with brand new squads with no gel time, didn't work out too well for us. Hopefully we buck the trend

Just when we appear to have found a bit of form, we come up against a team that have not won since the great plague and we oblige and cure all their ills.
We must be the most charitable football club in the country, Surely that is worth some sort of reward.

I just hope that all the new signings for Carlisle will take time to bed in.

 

Im not sure changing 3/4 of the side halfway through the season is such a smart idea tbh. A) They may struggle to know the “ tippy tappy” set up, b) it will razz off the existing squad ..

I'm not expecting anyone to take me up on it, but there is one if anyone is in need!

 

It's a fair point, Loyal, but curiously Carlisle have a far, far, far better squad than Morecambe do and are doing even worse.

Their situation reminds me so much of the Edin Rahic season where we finished bottom by a country mile. They have players other clubs would take in a heartbeat (albeit we've seen a couple of them actually leave) but there doesn't seem to be anything to them. If the spirit isn't there, bringing in 7 or 8 players won't change a thing IMO. It might make things worse.

 

The past means bugger all. As for the change in recruits at Carlisle, that's the danger. Don't let them settle, get in at them from the front and we will expose there lack of understanding
