Armstrong is simply not a player suited to Williamson's way of playing. Never understood why he gets a lot of praise from some fans. For one frightening moment there was a rumour we were going to sign him!!

I thought Hugill looked decent, we managed him well. He was half decent for Wigan. Seems a decent signing and I wouldn't have minded if we'd got him.

Agree on this, Sam is a good keeper - he has had a couple of bad moments this season but so do ALL keepers. Keep behind the big man

 

I didn’t care how we beat them tbh, I just knew we had to beat them. We beat Walsall then we really are in the running.

Richards was my man of the match, but special mention goes to Patto, Kav, Shepherd and Kelly’s great save.

 

Agree, it feels like panic but fair play to the owners for giving it a go.

Their style of play is generally fine, they pass out from the back too much. They also don't shoot enough. If they/their manager could loosen his ego to tweak those things then I think they'd do better.

 

Correct, I read a stat that his xG is 5 lower than what he's conceded. He's effectively underperformed against the shots he's faced.

 

Another 4 goals for Walsall today suggests they won't need him to get over the line. They will be Chsmpions by Easter in my opinion
