MOM Richards for me. Especially for taking one in the knackers for the team.
MOM for them was Harris. Looks decent player.

With the number of new players Carlisle brought in and their fight for survival in the league, this was always going to be a tough game
We looked pretty lacklustre most of the game, I thought. Aimless high balls to no one and not really testing their keeper enough.
Well done City but I think we just about deserved a win and it’s another 3 points in the bag

This is the style of football that we will have to be used to for the rest of the season. Grinding out results is the only way to get out of this league

A bit of a grind, but 3 very welcome away points and breaking the Brunton Park hoodoo.

Pleased for Kavanagh getting the winner, what a grafter that lad is.

Richards my man of the match, he has come on leaps and bounds this season and another very impressive performance today.

Back 3 fairly solid, albeit against a poor Carlisle side, cannot see them escaping the trapdoor.

Decent performances from Smallwood, Pattison and Pointon too.

Really looking forward to Walsall game now.

Hard working and professional performance. A massively needed away win. With a bit of better quality in the final 3rd we could have won that by 3 or 4. After watching that I think Carlisle will need to add to their 9 signings this window, 60% possession and the closest they came to a goal was a scramble in the box and the shot from long range late on.

Baldwin looked like he had ice on his calf at the end, hopefully it's nothing too bad and if it something more serious it will be interesting to see who replaces him against Walsall as it's a big ask to put Johnson in from the start.

We’ve second best home form in league behind Walsall.

midtable away form, though. If we sort our away form we’ve a cracking chance.

banana skin today. Well done lads.

Just watching the replays. Smallwood's dinked first time ball was sublime. Great touch. Well played kav as well today. Pattison amazing. Richards fantastic. Battling win.

    Get in!!!!

Wow did we need that - super happy with that.
We won so perhaps he shouldn’t be questioned, but I’m hugely surprised by GA’s use of subs. Sarcevic and Pointon especially looked to be running on empty. Richards also looked knackered.

Cracking goal. Quality from Smallwood, Pattison and Kavanagh.
Walker - what a save!! Then straight away following up with a comfortable corner take is more like the Walker we’ve seen before.
Thought the back 3 were excellent today, especially Shepherd and Kelly.

Pattison and Richards were excellent second half. All in all, a really good away result. Been honest we weren’t great first half and think if we had made changes there were more goals in there for us, but massively happy with the performance and result.

Special mention for the ref……..wow!! The inconsistency of decisions and confidence to make the right, big decision was absolutely terrible.

Hugill looks decent and they've signed other decent players. I could see them getting 8 wins, which will probably be enough.

We don't usually disagree with regards our take on most things football but I'll have a £5 bet (OAP with no winter fuel allowance) Carlisle don't go down even though at the present moment they are 7 points from safety.

Hilarious that lots wanted him to get this job. Anyway we should thank him as we've taken two of our three away wins against him.

I thought the back three were the stars of the show. Basically soaked up everything Carlisle threw at them.

I actually thought Baldwin had a decent game and I have been critical of his ‘lapses’ in earlier matches. Having said that Johnson stepped up to the mark.

Exactly how do they get these 8 wins? The very basics of football are built on goals win games, they could have been playing till next Saturday and not have scored. Not a cat in hells cnahce.this lot win anywhere near 8 games.
