No. I am too. Aside from the positives that Power will not be banned for Cardiff and allowing more time for Pointon, Pennington and Sarcevic to be fully fit, it also allows Sibley more time to be integrated into the team.
On top of that I don't think my arthritic bones would have welcomed a couple of hours sat in freezing temperatures.
Although I hope the rearranged match isn't on a date where I have carefully avoided being on holiday for a home match.

The covers give you a chance and delays the pitch freezing. It's also a minimum requirement by the EFL. Sometimes it's just luck with the timing, if the game was 24 hours either side it would have been game on as the covers have done their job

The cost of postponing a match at short notice must be considerable ,and it's not the first time this has happened. The covers City have don't seem to work below-2,and maybe it's time to look at an alternative.

Where’s the photos of the grounds man out with pitch fork at 8am ???
Why couldn’t they just wait until 1pm before fans are in?

Lincoln ensured their match last week went ahead because they invested in a hot air cover for the pitch.
Why can’t we do more to ensure our games go ahead? It’s almost like they wanted it off!!

I think we have missed an opportunity but there is nothing the club could do today. However we must have a proper plan to accommodate the weather. The cover we have appears to be useless. We need to look at all the equipment out there and see if we can upgrade.

I would say we always get frost at least in winter and therefore if we don’t plan ahead and invest in affordable kit then this type of scenario will continue to happen. I heard one forecaster say this cold weather is unusual in January, I just laughed out loud. It is not unusual at all. Maybe one of the sponsors might like to invest further?

We will certainly lose money by not playing today that is for sure. Plus why have a pitch inspection the day before if they have to come early on match day and call it off?

    Conspiracy theory all around LOL
    Disappointed it’s off
    Good points Power not booked
    Injuries more time to recover
    Sibley more training time
Possibly more new players for Cardiff game
Hopefully results go for us today in any games played
Rotherham might have won a game by the rearranged match, so the beaten whodo want count

it won't be as big postponing it now compared with postponing it at 12 or later as we won't pay for Rotherham’s costs and staff costs will be minimal.
It's part of football, you only have to look at the last round of fixtures with 3 games off in the Championship, a few in league 1 and the only games that survived in league 2 were the ones on Sky who get a heated tunnel for free.
The heat tunnel would be the next step up, I don't know what the costs are but they are expensive to hire or buy then the cost of running it. If they were financially worth it then more clubs would have them.

The heat lamp only cover a small section of the pitch at any time
New frost covers with a lower temperature protection, seems to be the answer
    If such a thing exists

If we do more it will cost more, simple as that. I guess it's a case of weighing up what's the best use of budget - investment in the playing squad or investment in equipment that means the 1-2 games a year affected by frost don't get postponed.

Oh well, let's see what footy is on TV today instead! Surely some FA Cup that isn't on TNT?

I saw that Man City have rejected Exeters request to have their split of the FA Cup ticket money. Very poor move on City's part.

Can I recommend the City Arms, Peveril of the Peak, Marble Arch or the left field choice the BeerMoth as places to dwell upon what may have been.
