I said earlier in this thread I hoped they would give Grant till next week, I was watching their game and when Burton scored their third the camera panned onto the Huddersfield section and they were singing "sacked in the morning" they even got that wrong.

 

Pretty disappointed with us today. Just nowhere near the level we're capable of. A bit disappointed with GA as well for not seeing what was happening from about ten minutes onwards in midfield where we were outnumbered 3 to 2 and they were just strolling through us. He did nothing to try to redress the balance and in no time we're 2-0 down. We came into it a bit more after halftime but I suspect that was because Cardiff adopted a 'what we have we hold' approach and chose just to shut us out. And in all honesty we never really threatened apart from the goal and Humphrys' miss.
My ratings
Walker: OK. No chance with the goals. Wayward kicking at times. 6
Defence: Generally ok. Touray and Baldwin 6
Tilt outstanding 9
Wingbacks: Neufville our best threat but patchy 7
Tyreik abysmal 3
Midfield: Power awful, his poorest game since he signed 4
Metcalfe poor first half, much better second and great goal 7
Attack: all anonymous and ineffective
4 for all. Sarcevic looks completely knackered.
Subs: Sibley keen but not convinced at all so far.
Newcastle lads some promising moments but nothing to affect the game.
Tactics. Everything still comes from wide and every team knows this and shuts us down there. Nothing central so we struggle to create any genuine chances.
Conclusion: a bad day at the office but we were up against probably the best side in the division so allowances must be made. We desperately need a striker or two.

 

Very harsh summary in my opinion we were playing a very good team and a referee mistake cost us a point

 

Surely that has to be Clayton Donkeyson..

 

Agree about them being a very good side, easily the best this season. Also agree that the ref made a mistake, possibly even two.

BUT

penalties still have to be scored. The ref cost us a chance at gaining a point, not the point itself.
