Unless we get a quality striker we will be left behind. We’ve rode our luck with last few home games and I just think we’re in a battle for the play offs. The chance is there for us but I’d be amazed if we sign a striker that isn’t a young kid on loan rather than have a real splash and get a decent quality one.

Saw him walk past the ticket office at 12.00 with a face like thunder. Bloke next to me said 'alright Kav' but he just grunted at him. Didn't look a happy chap.

Anyone notice how almost identical Metcalf s goal was to their first and again identical Humps miss was to their second goal . Peas in a pod ..all four attempts. The glaring mistake was Humps skying his pass into the goal compared to theirs . I said it mattered and looking back it cost us big style and does show that spending on a proper finisher is critical ?

 

He didn’t look happy when GA picked him at Mansfield , sulking I think I said .

 

I reckon we will be bringing in an experienced striker as well as Wheatley.

 

Kavanagh is not the answer to our striker struggles

I doubt it. We've gone all season with two strikers, maybe three if you count Cook. We're not going to have four strikers on the books when we only ever play one at a time.
