Hopefully both as decisive as today.

 

Just had a look at Grimsby's forum, The New Fishy. They are not happy. It's a bit like Bantamtalk after the Notts County match.

It's a poor league Dave. Today is our standard, it's whether we can recreate that on a reasonably consistent basis. It was a great demonstration of how to play aggressive, direct football that's purposeful, dangerous, not aimless, and really difficult for opponents to handle.

Every time we've got ourselves into this sort of position, we falter and revert to being tentative and a bit sporadic. We have to kick on from here. It's still essential that we bring in a quality forward and centre back.

 

GA alluded to that might be happening after the match.
Said we've spoken to 2 players this week.

 

Dominant. Cookless city ran Grimsby ragged. Better all over the park. Had to play to feet which by and large suited us not unlike our run in the silly cup last year. Are we better off without? Time will tell.

 

Why would they be pissed off at a 3-1 win.

A 3-1win against Grimsby doesnt wipe out years of failure does it ...........great win but dont think that all of a sudden your hero Rupp is forgiven

 

Very enjoyable game. Keeping Sarc and Patto fit is now priority (as well as a proven striker) as the chemistry between the 2 is rocketing by the game and we are dominating midfield

Not sure if Grimsby were a poor team or we just made them look shite!!

 

A certain person only posted once today, immediately after Grimby's goal.
He will be well cheesed off that we won.

 

Their full back the number 33 called Hume was absolutely tragic. One of the worst full backs I've seen. Everything he tried just went badly, gave away daft fouls and was outpaced by Sarce and Halliday often who aren't exactly sprinters!

They were toothless. Danny Rose is not a leading man if you want promotion. But as per usual, we still find ways to concede. If this team found a way to just stop iffy goals, we'd be in the top 3 for sure by now.

 

Think it's time for a lot of supporters to get back to VP to get behind the side.
No matter what is going on behind the scenes, we are very well placed to maybe achieve something this season.
A few away wins and we will be top 3.
Very fine margins as well.
Odour scores against Walsall away and we don't concede at Colchester in the last minute and we would be second now.

 

Not a clue who it is but cannot be having folk having a go at folk who are not happy becauae we have been lied and failed bu the powers that be ................

 

Its an shocking league and i aint been impressed by one team even the leaders ...........the club should having funds down to make sure we are out of it if we fook it now then heads should roll in the summer .
In a great posistion the promise if investment no excuses now lets get out of this bleeding league once and for all

 

This 100%. Best overall performance of the season today imo, but we have to play like that again for the next game, the one after that and the one after that and sadly, I'm still not convinced that we will. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think the enforced break next weekend will help us.

 

A good win playing some decent football albeit against a very poor side. We won't have an easier game all season. I don't know if they had a long injury list but to put that sort of performance in front of such a good away following is hard to take if you are a Grimsby fan> Thought Pattison, Sarcevic and Richards were excellent.

 

A bit of both mate. You can only beat whats in front of you, but they were nearly as bad as Swindon. Made no attempt to win the game.

 

Can't disagree its been said many times so far this season our performances have been average yet we are where we are, I still believe Bromley have been one of the better sides to come to Valley Parade and even down to 10 men caused us problems.

 

Weird how you only posted when we concede a goal today. You must be well pissed off that we delivered such a good entertaining win today
