The temp PV manager tonight has been Bruno’s right hand man and coach for years , why would it be any different other than putting 9 men behind the ball? The only viarance might be he picks his and Bruno’s second eleven?

They need to start winning right away so let's hope they come and have a go at us and not play for a sneaky draw with copious time wasting and 10 men behind the ball.

If that's how it will be then City fans will have a huge part to play tonight in keeping calm and getting at the PV players. They have been a shit team all season so if we play the way we have been doing we will more than have enough to beat them. I don't think for 1 minute GA or MP will let anyone think this will be a walkover.

    Good point.

How they set up is crucial. Come to play defensive and risk going away with nothing is a dismal start.

Come and attack and get cut open, again, dismal start but more acceptable.

They have to come and play but obviously they will need to be defensively responsible. Sitting in I think would be the biggest error they could make, this one is all about balance for them.

Humphrys not because he is doing a bad job swan scored 6 goals in six games.
he has not had a start for ages so I would give him a start to get 1or 2 goals maybe.
humphrys has scored because he is starting every game so I think swan should start.

So the first time Humphrys notches in back to back league games you want to stop the momentum and drop him? And for someone that hasn't scored since the first week in September?

    Makes no sense whatsoever.

I think there will be more potential Port Vale managers in the main stand tonight than away fans in the midland road.

Yeah, Humph is starting over Swan in all eventualities except an injury.

It's not really a discussion worth having.

It's fair to say that we score more goals and create more chances with Humphrys in the side. If he creates 3 goals tonight but doesn't score should we discount him?

But Humphrys is only scoring because he’s playing every game.

I think a lot more Vale fans will attend now Moore has been sacked.

In my opinion, Humphrys offers far more all round. Swan is certainly decent backup, an upgrade on Kav, but Humphys is playing the best he has done since signing, so would be bonkers to drop him at the moment.

I think Humphrys still has more in his locker as well.

Im not his biggest fan but he is easily our best option.

He's the sort of player who could have a purple patch, especially the more he gets used to the role. It would help him if we can get a settled partnership behind him and not use him as a target man.

2 changes with T. Wright and Tilt in for Pointon and Kelly, Leigh on the bench in place of Pointon.

A month ago it'd have been unthinkable to see Neufville dropped. This story has gone under the radar for me. I know players have dips in form but this is pretty dramatic. Normally a talent like Neufville regains form and gets back in the side. Wonder when he'll start again. Be nice if he comes back into the side like a new signing, not to say that Halliday hasn't deputised well enough.

Controversial opinion: Kelly shouldn't be dropped.
