Exactly a response I gave yesterday…Walking the game until Baldwins brain fart , followed by Walkers 10 year old schoolboy keeping facing a Sunday League C/F , we were left to try and grab a face saving point, when 3 was more than possible earlier . The confidence that fell out of our team was plain to see after they scored that penalty. We literally fell apart and went into a shell! Barrow could not believe their luck?

 

It’s this type of attitude that drives me nuts! Where was the leadership on the field and off? While that pen was being taken Smallwood should have been rallying the troops, “now we really take them apart lads” we do not sit back and allow them to play. We do it all the time.

 

Agree. It was like watching a pair of curtains being closed….Almost instantaneous .

Agree, he was never that sort of player in his prime , one is or one isn’t as they say in life….A born leader.

A captain’s armband doesn’t always make a leader. Can we think of a proper on field leader at VP.
