In an ideal world we would surely build a new stadium at Richard Dunn with its land and proximity to transport links. I appreciate it will never happen (just like all other previous efforts to build a superdome etc) nor do I want it to. There is an emotional attachment to VP that will never disappear. I was there in 1985 and would not want to leave that emotion and history behind. There is a challenge in maintaining an aging stadium with a TL Dallas stand that is seriously unfit for modern day. Hmmm. We need that promotion to the promised land of the championship and all that extra funding. See you all later ..... ;-)

Hopefully watching this one in my dad's local if they are willing to bob it on. Confident of a nice and easy City win today!

Indeed. VP is a long term enigma for the club imo. Not becauae it's owned by FLPF but because of its location and it being hemmed in all four sides by housing, roads and the school It's showing its age now and for somebody to take the club further and become established in the Championship, VP would need to be developed further with an increased capacity. I doubt that could ever happen now.

I always thought the site of the big tesco on Canal Road would be a great location but it's likely not quite big enough.

If we were clever you could have an extra station there and it's close enough to VP that it would still hold on to the memories.

Zero reason for Kavanagh to be on the bench over Cook if he's fit. Zero.

The more we see Andy not making the bench I believe he's on his way out, one final pay day which IMO what he'd done for us he deserves.

GA realises we need to free up spaces/wages to sign players in January, and is excluding Cook as he’s the one player we could realistically sell or loan in January.

I keep reading comments about how Cook is past it, and he may well be, but other than the odd sporadic appearance from the bench he’s not exactly been given a chance since his he’s been back . Poor decision not to have him on the bench over a player who’s clearly not cut out for this level.

How on earth do that back 3 get another go together?

And if he starts Baldwin in the middle again it's absolutely criminal.

Patto to Chesterfield allegedly. Wonder where Cook is going. Strange that Leigh or Lapslie are not on the bench. Tilt should be starting.

He was however starting every week when we had our hottest streak.

Not saying that it's definitely correlated but something to think about.

Somewhat obviously, in my view, if we end up being successful again then we'll end up doing what Luton are doing because expanding the ground will be too difficult and even more expensive due to the risks involved of housing being too close.
