The guy just needs to play games, but that’s a step too far down for him IMO…….but a great signing for D&R.

    Linking back up with Pereira.

Crichlow joins Pereira in non league.

Mildly surprised by Crich, Dion wasn't good enough though.

Didn't Darrah McAnthony comment that Bradford City had made an offer to take Critchlow on loan, but he felt the money offered was a bit of an insult from a club our size ?.

So now we know where we stand in that non league clubs can offer more money than us.
That is evidence enough for me that there has been zero investment and there isn’t likely to be any.

Non league clubs have been offering more money than us for years.

Wrexham, Stockport, probably Chesterfield, they won't be the last.

Yes that's true but most likely they've got Crichlow because he needed gametime and non-league was the only option, rather than wages

A few fans saying Crichlow won't come back because of the abuse he got last time. Absolute rubbish I'd say, only ever talked good about the club and would have come back in the summer if we'd agreed it with Peterborough. I'm definitely more inclined to believe Darragh on that one than our clowns although tweeting about it was daft from him.
If we had signed him I wouldn't have been convinced he was GA's choice anyway, more like another Tyreik Wright where it seems the club have taken it upon themselves to sign him rather than GA's request.
Great signing for Dag+Redbridge til January anyway. Dion playing well for them also.

I agree that he'd probably come back, but it does show how toxic the club has been... in hindsight, why would anyone have booed Crichlow?

    Makes zero sense.

No, we're offering the right money.....just that it's directed towards the wrong players .....

The right money is whatever gets you the right players for your budget.

Wrexham have done it with a sizeable advantage financially, and Stockport have done it but they should not be seen as too big of a club for us to compete with.

Yet we have nonetheless failed to compete with them.

We're not even competing with the likes of Stevenage, Burton Albion and Crawley Town who have all only been in the league around 15 years or less.

This thread just refuses to die this season :joy:

Apparently there's a free agent midfielder training with us as we may need cover. Pattison has injured his abducter muscle and will be out a few weeks.

Not sure you can write the situation off like that, apparently we made an offer which was unacceptable to Peterborough, he obviously hasn't a future at Posh so maybe rather than pay his full wages McAnyhony has cut his losses, it doesn't necessarily mean our offer was less than D&Rs.

Jim O’Brien? He’s in our target age group.

In the position there were in they are better to accept anything than hold out for a fee that nobody wanted to pay. This way they take whatever they get and if he does well then they have a chance of maybe coming to an agreement with Dagenham & Redbridge to sign him in January.
As far as I'm aware the National League still counts towards the playing for more than 2 clubs limit, if it does then he's already played for Peterborough so he can't play for anyone else once he makes an appearance for Dag & Red, if it doesn't then Posh can look to sell him to someone else.
Either way it says a lot about either him or the value or both that he couldn't get a move in the window to anyone.

Matty James 33 midfielder would be my guess.
Played 37 times for Bristol City last season can also be used as a backup defender.

From the free agent section on Transfermarkt, it won't be an exhaustive list of available players but it gives us some possible names. Other than the Cambridge game the PFA don't seem to have released a list of players involved in their matches so not a lot to go off.

Pattison has turned into another crock not giving us value for money.

I think we are missing Gilliead, he was hardly ever injured!

I'm sure when I was a lad we hardly had any injuries and had squads of about 16 that saw us through each season.
