Hang on ….The deal offered by Fleetwood may not be sufficient to meet his agents or his demands perhaps, so why would he have “taken” the deal on less money despite his so called desperation?
I doubt that it is, but Fleetwood and their financial woes might be trying to get him on the cheap?

Young is playing Fleetwood in an attempt the get a better offer, it doesnt take a week to decide when your current vlub has agreed the deal.

Call me vindictive, but I would absolutely piss myself laughing if Fleetwood signed someone else in the meantime, pulled out, and his next best alternative was Morecambe.

 

The way I see it, Young has an open mind to how this season pans out.

GA rightfully is not playing him at the moment because his head is not in the right place, and is probably waiting for confirmation on what happens before including him in his plans

Players do not need to leave a club just because an offer has been accepted. It's their choice whether to join said club or turn the offer down

As for Young wanting to force a move. That's bollocks. We would of heard about him putting in a transfer request in if he was that desperate to move on. He's simply exploring his options. If I was in his position, and a club from league one came in, I wouldn't turn it down either. I'd be playing in a better division, with better players, being coached by better managers, an getting paid more on top of that

As for everything else, can we keep this topic on point fgs. I'm sick of reading shit about how Young has had a bust up with the manager, or how the manager doesn't like him, or how he's a bad trainer, or about how clubs go about their youth setups. it's a transfer thread. Keep that shit elsewhere. Stick to transfer topics an rumours

 

The next 24ish hours will be some of the biggest of Young's career. If he doesn't get the better offer that it looks like he's holding out for then he's either got to take the offer or hope he can get back into the team here. If he stays and doesn't do well between the end of the window and January then he will have even fewer offers and even less chance of a league 1 offer. If he take the Fleetwood offer then there will be big pressure to deliver with nowhere to go if it doesn't go well.

Not sure Kev, I think for the lads future he has to be getting regular game time which he won't get at VP. In his third year now and lets be honest its not worked for him and as such i can't see City taking out a fourth year.

 

He's got a genius of an agent if he pulls that move off.

Well, at the start of the window it was looking like we'd be done and dusted by now but there's still a hole to fill plus many outgoings. Young, Gilly, McDonald all looks certs to go. Question marks over Richards, Smith and Oliver staying. If we have a few outgoings, could there be a few incoming? Seems like tomorrow might actually be interesting!

 

Surely Young is going out on loan instantly? Derby already have James Collins, Jerry Yates, Conor Washington, Kayden Jackson & an 18 year old striker they've brought up from the youth team. Jake goes in easily as 5th choice. Surely he immediately gets sent out to play?

 

Not a chance he signs for them.

● Living in Derby

Pretty obvious choice for me. One side heavily outweighs the other. Alexander Ball here we come!

 

A quote from Paul Warne's interview today. If we take it at face value then that totally rules out them signing Young. He would be going in as 5th choice and he's certainly not a physical presence.

 

Yeah I can't see it at all, really weird link. I could see Oxford maybe, looking over lower end CH squads, because they only have 3 strikers on the books and one is a loanee that struggled at the CH level last year on loan. That's the only club he'd have a shot at really if the Championship club links Sky Sports mentioned are true.
