I would have loved to see Wyke back in his magic hat, but lets be fair, £8k a week on a two year deal, for a 32 year old with heart problems is a risk too far. After seeing reports of how much Carlisle are supposed to be paying him, I applaud us for not getting involved.

 

Totally agree, and yet there are some who will say losing out to Carlisle shows lack of ambition and investment. (For the record I am yet to see serious investment in the team, I just think that money for Wyke wouldn't be VFM

Really? They only signed him last summer, for a 6 figure fee too on a 3 year deal and a decent season last year. Mansfield fan too, can't see that one but you never know.

 

Was just a few fans commenting on x to a reply by a city fan about them signing Will evans probably be nothing but they don’t think he ll be anywhere near starting 11 with Evans Gregory and Keillor Dunn but I’ve seen him linked with moves elsewhere

 

He scored 8 in his last 16 apps (12 starts) to end the season after a pretty naff first half of the year. Remember him against us at their place and he looked lively.
