Strange we did not see enough in him to offer a deal and yet he signs for a premier teams academy.

Funny though he took part in full training on the Monday and was on the bench Tuesday, whereas a SORE Odour was totally omitted after training on Monday.

 

The goal scoring is interesting though - two of those teams had over 20 goals after 10 matches. It took us 18 matches to get to 20 goals. I do feel there's something in scoring goals to build confidence and when you're scoring, you can win games and find a waynto tighten up at the back (as Wrexham did over the season)

 

Trueman organises and conducts the training for the strikers whilst GA and Lucketti oversee the match scenario training.
All the usual movement and fitness training and drills is done by Trueman.

A lot of baggage now and may feel a fresh start is needed.
A lot of the faces, Gent and Sparks who would have got him to sign and then turfed him out to Barrow still here.
Remember Hughes was hardly around the team at training (that came from a 1st team player) when he was here so you can guarantee Trueman (along with Hodges) will have been heavily involved during his lack of minutes, and if it was attitude at not been involved and that affected training, you can guarantee MT will have let GA know.
It's very hard to return to something when the relationship might not have been the best in the first place.

 

Yes, a fair point but what Orient did was start so well that after that they just stayed at the same average points as those below them and maintained that buffer.

You could counter with MK Dons last season who started well and dropped off though. Although perhaps changing manager affected them as well.

If I was choosing between points and scoring goals though, I would be choosing goals. Wrexham had some silly games early in the season - lost 5-3 to Mk, drew 5-5 v Swindon, but scoring goals gave them confidence and they continued that way and shored up the back. Conversely, a team winning say 1 nil with few shots is going to eventually struggle - a bit like the Trueman and Sellars team. So, if I could choose between points and goals, I'd much rather see us having lots of shots and scoring goals even if we're drawing day 2-2 or winning 3-2
