I wouldnt push the boat out either but a reasonable fee and wage around £3k a week I would be ok with. He is better than anything we currently have. Decent age, potential resale value.

I think that would be pushing the boat out for him, but maybe just about worth it. His age means we could probably move him on but having failed to make any impact higher up I wouldn't expect to make a profit - all in my opinion of course. You have probably figured by now that the lost cause I will be championing this year is Baldwin . He seems a similar style CB to Critchlow

 

Oh absolutely, I agree 100%. Although as I am often of the opinion that I will welcome all new signings and judge them only when they have played a few games for us, then you will find it difficult to find my posts slagging off a new recruit

Having said that, if the players that some posters have already written off turn out to be decent signings, then I also won't hesitate giving you a shoutout. Definitely works both ways, I may be a lot of things but i'm not an inconsistent hypocrite

 

Surprised at how little football Crichlow has played in his career so far. He's 25 and has 83 EFL games to his name, 57 of those were starts. His longest uninterrupted run as an EFL first team starter was 12 games for Swindon. If you go through his entire career at all levels and cup games, he's had 122 career apps and 81 starts, which seems crazily low for his age.

 

Yes definitely, I think we are all praying that the new recruits come together as a group and we have a blinding season, for all of our sanity's

 

Probably longer as I'd back him to help keep us up in the NL.

A fair point that. I hope im wrong on a few and Im not really writing them off - they could be (and I hope) great for us. On paper they dont look great and I really thought the management would be having a real go this summer based on the promises late last season. Thats my frustration, not really with the players.

 

Did he provide you evidence on the budget increasing? It works both ways, something some seem to forget. 5 in, 16 out would suggest anything but a budget increase.
