Insider chicken said last week that we were working on a loan for Smith. If true, he called it early. TBF he has said Swindon is not happening....

Im ok with it either way. I dont really rate so hopefully he has a good spell there and improves because he is 4th choice here.

Good to see Adam Wilson involved in Austria. He went from scoring against Wrexham in front of the kop last year to almost being an outcast. I suspect he’s one of the surplus players, but it would be nice to see him work his way up the pecking order as I think there’s a player there.

 

His problem being, he’s pretty lightweight ?

 

No more so than Wright, Pointon, Kavanagh who are still effective?

 

Yes more lightweight compared to those imho . Bobby is short yet stocky . I’d compare Wilson to Smith but Wright is bigger and stockier imho.

 

Lee Angol has signed for Morecambe. Really doubt they can stay up with the naff they are bringing in.

Before anyone thinks 'Crawley'... they signed mainly unknown younger talent rather than journeyman. Morecambe are signing over the hill trash. Not really comparable.

Adams has a decent record there though, knows what he is doing.

Apart from 2 or 3 there signings dont look good at all but its only L2 so may have enough to survive.

 

One of those where it wouldn't be a surprise if they ended up relegated but equally, wouldn't be a shock if they finish above us.

 

Is that the same Lee Angol who once scored 25 goals in a season and has a better career strike rate than Vadaine Oliver ?

I live in Barnsley. After speaking to a friend of a friend he mentioned that city are after Jack Shepherd from Barnsley on a loan. I asked was he any good and he replied average.

Apparently he plays centre back? Maybe some truth in this?

 

Angol definitely has plenty of ability, he just doesn't have the body to use his attributes anymore.
