If we are looking at him , even as a translator, let's hope he proves to be more than a language barrier!

 

Looking at Sheff posts, they seem surprised he was released as he has done well for their dev teams but doesn't look like he is going to get a chance anytime soon. He's also played a trial game for Millwall and a couple for Partick Thistle already this summer.

 

So if we sign the 2 trialists Assimah (GK) and Graham (CB) where does that leave us?

Weve been linked with about 4 LWBs from Sunderland, Leeds, Brentford and Sheff Utd. We think these are dead in the water now? Or maybe one is the loan thats incoming.

Then we have the one that has impressed at his club. Rumoured to be a MF or a ST. Id rather another up top as think we are ok in MF.

 

I still think we need another experienced CB, even if we bring in Graham. I'd like another LWB but can't see it so perhaps the only other gaps are a DM, to replace McDonald and then a Striker to replace Oliver.

 

Experienced CB needed, even if Graham comes in or not. But as said by others on here I think it will be McDonald and Oliver out, new CM and ST in. Wouldn't be surprised if both are young loans who can fill the squad out rather than first teamers. The CM need is defensive, plenty of names in the attacking CM slot, not a lot outside of Smallwood and Gilly in the DM slot.

Olivers replacement is more interesting to me. If he isn't a physical striker and is another smaller quicker lad like Young, Smith & Kav, that to me suggests a tactic chance this season and maybe Cook will be one of one for the physical striker role, and if he falls away or gets injured we try something new?

 

The dips in the cold river will do their muscles no end of good. The water is coming straight off the snow melt off the mountains full of minerals etc., Training at altitude will do their fitness no end of good, better than lounging on a sun lounger in Spain.

 

Just hope Cook doesn't stop by Abra-kebabra on the way home and wipe out a weeks worth of good work

Anyways, he said that they wanted Oliver back but he is in talks with a L2 club, he thinks that Cheltenham and Swindon offered a better package than them.
