Spot on. The only difference is (back in the day) some teams had 10 as attacking midfield and 8 as the second striker (Jones & Clark at Leeds spring to mind).

42. Internationally acknowledged as the answer to the meaning of life. Incidentally, anyone notice that Foden has 47 tattooed on his neck. I assume that's to remind him that 47 is his shirt number rather than his position on the field.

 

Signed him on Champ and he broke our record for assists in a season, so I'm sold... though he did beat the previous record set by Oduor the season before so I can't vouch for the realism of it!

 

Considering he's played 30 games-ish (27 last season) in League One for the past 3 seasons, that would be an interesting one. It seems unlikely they would drop him down to League Two as part of his development, but if they do, that suggests actually maybe he wasn't good enough for League One - in which case you'd think he'd be available on a permanent if it works out?

Can't find any details about his contract, most sites say it should have ended in the Summer.

This would be the final nail in the coffin for Adam Wilson or Lewis Richards, though, which would be a shame. We can't have all of Boyes, Wright, Wilson and Richards, even if Richards is a centre back. We don't need 3-4 players all vying for the same position without failing to trim the squad. Wright and Boyes would be enough.

If Richards improves being played at centre half then it may actually help as that's where we're weakest at present. Id still feel that we need another centre half of a good standard for the other side though.

Signed a 3 year deal June 2022. But how that was structured it doesnt say.
Could have quite easily been been a 2 + 1yr. in the clubs favour and they didnt take that last year up ?

 

Wilson wont be around come August 31st, think that much has been clear for about 6 months.

Richards will stick around for now you would think, he will be looking for that LCB role. GA hasnt given any indication he is surplus. I can see Stubbs possibly going if there is any interest elsewhere. Wasnt he rumoured to be off in January but we got an injury and pulled the plug?

 

Yeah, couldn't be arsed looking for it though so thought I'd derail the shirt numbers thread instead.

 

I think Wilson out of those has something to work on , needs to really move if there's no real opportunity
