He is a big lad though, wonder if he would be any good as a back up keeper...?

Exactly mate. You would not believe the debates it's caused on here. Especially when Johnson himself said in his interview he's discussed playing there with GA!

Tyreik ticks every box for me. Signing from a higher level club, for some sort of fee will appease some on here. Exciting attacking player who's still young and full of potential. Already performed well in a city shirt.
We've got more than a few players who could seriously break out next year and make us some good money, but not before getting us out of league 2.
There's plenty that could go right next season, I'll try focus on that!

He's on a decent whack at Plymouth - we know this because we were told when he came back in January that we were paying a significant chunk of his considerable wages. GA has also said that bringing him back will be financially difficult. He has a year left to run on his contract, he isn't going to just walk away from that and come to us on less. One way or another, he won't come cheap.

If that’s the case and they don’t want to “save” his salary he can stay where he is, because I wouldn’t see him as a decent investment especially, as is proposed, as a LWB . No different to us being “ stuck “ with Oliver?

He wasn’t good last time round LB , and he’s not a LWB, as Plymouth have discovered?

I remember the team sheet being handed out in the suite by Jimmy Cuthbertson and on reading it I saw no Hanson and the kid McBurnie instead, knowing Rotherham's defenders where usually as you said big hairy arsed seasoned pros that day Claude Davis and Craig Morgan it was always a massive debut for the kid.

The problem is Plymouth couldn’t turn him into a LWB , neither will we in all honesty.

I think that's what he was saying, in his own way without dressing it up.

Time will tell Kev, I think GA is confident he can make it work.

Yes what Oli lacks in skill he certainly makes up for with his aggressive play, both on the pitch and off it I believe.

The young full Crewe fullback I said should be a goer for LWB , Adebisi ( Spelling) , well Peterborough have purchased him…… Who says I can’t spot potential?

Seeing potential in Wright, in whatever position(s) is why Alexander is a manager Kev and you, me and Monkey are merely pundits/critics.

It certainly is ironic isn't it. I recall watching him many times and getting extremely frustrated watching him getting bullied off the ball, and when it was announced in that summer he had gone to Swansea for £250k plus any sell on fees etc, I could not believe it. 9 years ago now (I think) but I still remember saying at the time how we had well and truly had Swansea's pants down....and look at him now. The correct development with a few loans to league clubs turned him into a solid mature pro, and I was certainly happy to be proved wrong. I am really glad how he has progressed to being a proven premier league player
