Of course it was. Have you not learnt by now? When things are going wrong or there are season tickets to sell we get some empty rhetoric that is never followed through on.

The flipside is, some fans will not accept mediocrity. If you accept it, thats what you get.

 

If the rumour about Wright coming back on a permanent is true, it won't come cheap. It may well be that the 'extra' investment has been set aside for that.

 

Its good to see us paying fees for players, speculating on younger talent and developing. Realistically what will the fee be? £50k-£75k?

 

Well as I posted if were basing success on our lack of it over resent years I'm sure they could find one in Yorkshire, as someone posted the other day with regards EFL teams and failure sadly we must be right down there, personally with regards myself it could never happen but as I posted mate if its effecting their lives and wellbeing then it should be seriously considered .

 

Whether it's a fee or taking over his contract, I think it will be considerably more than that. He's on decent money at Plymouth and GA said weeks ago that although he wanted to bring him back, he understood it would be financially difficult.

 

And all the negativity posted on here won't change a thing, if you believe you're doing the right thing in not renewing fine, as with @JudgeMental he feels so strong about his convictions hit the club in the pocket its that easy,

 

I've been banging this drum for years, regarding the England team. Absolutely scandalous the sheer amount of talent that has gone through the team in the last 20 or so years, and the money that has been pumped in, to only have a drab Euro finals appearance to show for it. Raid the Championship for players, mix it up a bit. What they lack in so-called skill & talent, they will more than make up for with passion & effort. But the foisty establishment wouldn't sanction that would they
