Does that make the club complicit in child abuse then?...;)

Late back into this today, still suffering with this virus.
Its not just general staff on minimum wage. What increase will the playing staff be getting , all fuelled by agents saying they can get them x at another club -5% of say £3000 per week -£150 a week or £7800 per annum basic salary. We have to pay the going rate to get players. Business rates are going up full whack again. Utility bills , especially electricity have gone through the roof for me, i do have machines running for a good time some days, so can not imagine what it costs the club, i could go on.
Yes the football has been poor this season, yes there is discontent at how the club is being run, but we were within touching distance of promotion last year. Blown by one man , Hughes and his negative tactics , we needed tweaks, he ripped it up, we regressed ,so he had to go, he learnt nothing in his 18 month stint.
GA has done a reasonable job and i have hope given a fair crack of the whip he will have us in a far better position come this time next year. To do that though, he needs the playing budget. Prices stay the same, increased running costs reduce his budget and so on. Does the club continue to cover those increases.
We all want change ,improvement , we thought we had it with Rupp, Adams, Hughes. very few voices against any of these initially.
It is of course everyone's choice if they renew, i will and pay what is being asked £250.
I would like Rupp, Sparkes and Gent to move on, they are the problem in my and many overs eyes, i just think depriving the club of income, will cause further problems.

He wont, doing exactly what Rupp wants, covering running costs ,so Rupp does not have to.
Do you not think the owner was involved in the decision to increase.
    We are stuck unfortunately.

I'm in a similar position in terms of numbers and cost.

As a divorced dad it's time I spend with my lads and I don't want to lose that but seriously thinking about my options....

I find it interesting that they choose to raise prices now when the anticipated 'cost' increase this coming season is much less than previous years and cite that as the reason. Timing is poor given the shite witnessed on the pitch for too long. Plus record commercial income too.....

I just don't trust or have confidence in Sparks that he can lead us to where we all want to go....apart from him and Rupp, our proud custodian, that is!!!

Any agent who can negotiate Taylor Derbyshire Ridehalgh a pay rise at any other club is a genius
Temporarily depriving the club of income forcing change is the only option
6 years in the khazi league tells you nothing is going to change otherwise
The season ticket sales (I can't really call it a campaign) tells you all you need to know what's coming next season
Hoping to sell enough to balance the books job done !!! regardless of what happens on the pitch
I don't knock you buying your ticket I do wonder if you are rewarding lack of ambition and ultimately failure

Not just record commercial income, we also have additional income from the Cup run and the Lewis sale too. I'm not saying the price rise isn't jusified, I'm just fed up about the way it's being painted like we haven't got two pennies to rub together.

So if you did not go to the game, what would you do for those 4 or 5 hours with your lads on match days?
There are always decision to make and each decision will have its implications,
Would the decision to re new be easy if we were sat in the top 7, of course it would !
Its when we are struggling for whatever reason that the decision becomes harder for many, especially when the club are asking for more.

Football is, has and will be full of players , earning money way above , what we , Joe public earn. Footballers who i often think, i could do a better job, probably like most.
Maximum wage for me with built in bonus for goals , clean sheets, wins. £1500 lge 2, £3000, Lge 1 £6000 champ and £20000 in the prem.
So we all say sod it . im out, is Mr Rupp going to say ok, here is the £4 million to pay the players for this year.
No , we will go bust and he will probably be glad to be shut of us.
Another part of Bradford gone and the loss of two football clubs.
We have to hang in there until all three Rupp , Sparks and Gent are gone.

As I said earlier in the year Spark's sustainability and stay in the league comment was a Gerald Ratner classic but to spew that a few weeks before a 25% price hike is a clusterfeck of the highest order

Around 20% of diehards not renewing next year... Well done !!!

Hopefully the powers that be have done their homework with regards the pros and cons, those who we maybe thinking of not renewing may be pushed over the top with this massive increase.

I don’t trust that they have. It’s really an incompetently run business in a lot of respects. Like people have pointed out the errors in the percentage/ in the press release . who the hell signed that off? Little things that show to me it’s either carelessness or incompetence.

My fear is everyone is giving up Sparks included and I do worry for the future of the club. I see a season of struggle, I predicted a mess this year I hope am wrong.

It’s a shame this thread has gotten so petty as there’s real sensible discussion and debate to be had about why people are or are not renewing, we all share a common love of the club regardless of the differences in opinion.
