Agree I believe he knew what role he would be asked to play in the team, he drags the defenders all over they don't have a minutes peace, he was never going to be a 20 goal a season man, last season with Burton was the second best of his career.

GA got it spot on when he likened tonight to the Stockport away game last season.

Neufville, Baldwin, Touray outstanding at the back and Swan made a huge difference when he came on.

 

Probably not a red but how it wasn't given as a foul is ridiculous

 

And hopefully still more bodies to come in.

 

First time ever!

 

Just saw Baldwin’s goal. An absolute beauty, started to move his foot to the ball, stopped to adjust in mid-kick and absolutely smashed it in. The commentators said something about a center half making a center forward’s finish. Well done that man.

 

Great win and it sets a marker down.

Touray neufville were class special mention to Beesley who worked tirelessly to unnerve their defence and Swan who was more effective than pointon tonight just like the other way round on Saturday.

Now let's get some new bodies in before next week because there is a great feeling we could go one better this season.

 

Beesley exactly what we lacked last season. His work rate is phenomenal and he plays like a number 9, not someone shoehorned into the position.

 

Much better second half and could have scored more on another day, would have been criminal to let it slip from a throwing with the last action of the game. Great 3 points and start to the season. Now we can enjoy a pressure free evening at a packed out old girl against old sparing partners.

 

Just like Paul Hudson said had we signed him in Jan we get promoted last season.
