There's the potential for a bit of rain in Burslem overnight Tuesday into Wednesday but, hopefully, not too much.

They'll be on massive high after today's result. I expect the game will be tougher on Wednesday now.

Hopefully they party into the night get a plum draw and concentrate on that :)

But we all know the anti christs will beat Norwich and they will end up with Vale at home

Great achievement that. An even greater achievement on Wednesday if we beat the FA Cup quarter finalists. Unrealistic I know but you've got to have a dream.

Depends on GA will he rotate big time or look at this as the chance to put a big gap between us and 7th place

As I posted earlier , their pitch is making them play differently . NINE behind the ball 5-4-1 and hope for a breakaway or a set piece . Wont be easy that's for sure . So pace over the top offensively won’t be required so Wheatley a sub and play Mullin and Humos from the get go .
    3-5-2 maybe?

I can see one of Pointon or Tyreik Wright coming out of the starting 11 for Touray and I wouldn't be surprised if Wheatley is given a break for Humphrys or Mullin as I'm expecting it to be a physical game.

It's going be a big ask for the players to go from a tough physical game yesterday to another tough game on a tough pitch on Wednesday then go again at Wigan on Saturday

Out of the two i would deffo target the Vale game,i know folk go on about there pitch but is ours really much better ???? And we do have 24 hours rest on them and thats two tough cup games they have come through so a bit of luck it catches up with them :) a nice plum tie for them would help :)

Not a greatest performance but certainly a lot of effort went into Port Vale getting that result, they will certainly be up for the game against us but I think with a starting 11 that wants to go for it we have a good chance of a positive result.

Is Stockley injured as he didn't feature in the squad but I think if he's fit he'll get a start on Wednesday night.

3 Reasons they are likely to win. One they are on form with great pace up front that we struggle to cope with. Two we have poor record of getting anything at Vale Park. Three no one has any idea of whats in Alexanders head team selection wise especially as he only likes to let the players know a few hours before kick off. Tough one this.

We aren't great at all out defence, so we have to just match em.

Humphrys MUST start, preferably in Pointon's position with Mullin up front.

Give Wheatley the last 10-15 to run and run and run which is his strength.

I have seen nothing so far from Mullin for him to start except potential to be sent off. We won keep a winning team

2 league home wins all season for Vale. They really have been dire all season. No excuses for us to not come away with at least a point

Our record without Baldwin is poor he is going to be a big miss particularly for his distribution

Our front line is more dangerous when Wheatley goes off.

You’d hope the Vale players will be knackered. They played for over 2 hours on Tuesday and gave 110% today.

With Port Vale going through it is another reason why the only real option for this match was to move it back 24 hours rather than another week.

The quarter final is 4th or 5th April which is easter weekend which means both of their Good Friday (Cardiff away) and Easter Monday (Rotherham home). I can only see that the Cardiff game will be moved to something like Tuesday then Rotherham will be Tuesday or Wednesday. They then still have to fit in rearranged games against Peterborough and Stockport with only 2 Tuesdays left and one of which is the last week of the season which the EFL won't really like.

Wednesday is probably going to be the most fresh they feel for the rest of the season.

It’s crucial we take the lead in this game, go a goal down and we get beaten. They will play 9 behind the ball ,frustrate us and our dismal away record will be in the minds of our players. The good thing is that during our fantastic league cup run in 2013 we often lost immediately after a great cup win.
