TBF, Tyreik’s had some decent defensive games recently. I think that side of his game is much improved.

Agreed, it was nice Cardiff beat our nearest and dearest at the weekend. We need them to be beating teams like Stevenage and Lincoln. We do our bit and like you say, a gap starts to develop.

This shows how important Pennington is to getting the best out of Neufville. Pennington's pace enables him to bomb on upfield. That’s why having Byrne or Joe Wright behind him restricts him, and therefore us , so much.

He wasn’t slow on Saturday. How are these figures calculated?

Agree he is gradually getting better, I just really wish he would back himself a bit more to take on the defender, he plays quite cautiously in my opinion

EA make them up every year. It's really only top level players that have their stats drilled down, usually EA/Fifa just use a grading system of their own accord but it's never been confirmed who or how many are in that for EA sports. their head of ratings said "Each footballer is made up of 35 attributes. This then becomes the skill level that we rate on a 1-99 scale". But there's a bit of a limiter on lower league players. So players in L2 dont tend to be rated over 62/63ish and the average player is 60. L1 it's about 5 or 6 more, CH another 5 or 6 and an average PL player is about mid 70s maybe a touch more.

There's not really any science or methodology in Fifas ratings being transferrable to real life, especially in the lower leagues. They only really go in-depth for top end players who are used the most.

Game postponed due to a waterlogged pitch as expected after the problems they had at the weekend.

Sit back tonight and hope Stevenage and Cardiff kick lumps out of each other with a few sendings off each.

I wonder if there's a risk of the game being postponed due to waterlogged pitch - been pretty torrential up here at times today, not sure how our pitch would be fairing right now for an evening match. Forecast shows it should stop raining down there around 4 but not sure at what point they'd want to make a decision.

edited - sent that a minute too late!

What are we thinking. A good postponement? Would have been nice to have played them with the mini run we're on, and the one they aren't. But on the plus side, a rest for the players with a busy period coming up.

I'm taking it as a positive whilst they are terrible in the league they have won 2 cup games on the bounce so imagine they'll have a had a bit more confidence. Also the pitch being a swamp might have played to the - on paper - worse team, also higher risk of injuries etc. Get us rested and good to go for Saturday

Only game called off in the football league so far
Rather convenient for them and their poor league form
More rest before the weekend for us and hopefully Reading have a stinker with injuries, red cards , plus 20 minutes extra time
Tire the buggers out for Saturday
When the game is re arranged we are still in our respective positions, but we have strengthened the playing squad
    There,’s my Christmas wish list

Disappointing, but understandable. With no further cup games and Rotherham and Peterbrough out of the FA Cup we should be ok in the new year. Be nice if they could find room for Port Vale away in late March/April.

We need his attacking input to be in point. If he plays in the 3 up top, it's effectively a 2 because he neither scores nor creates.

With Port Vale still in FA Cup and EFL trophy I wonder when the rearranged date will be?

Ironically, his best attacking performances this season have been when he’s been played as a wing back.
