Yes he seems like a confidence player. So frustrating at times as that's what hes capable of and if he can do that more often we've got a hell of a player..Hopefully that gives him the boost

 

The ability to keep picking up points in a “sticky patch” is really showing its worth now. Thought no-one had a poor game yesterday and all changes made by Alexander worked. Starting to build up the clean sheets at home and away. What a 2025 we’ve had! Hats off to the leadership, coaching staff & all the players.

 

Good win. First half was frustrating as we got into good positions quite often but our decision making was terrible, Tyreik Wright was guilty too many times. Second half was much better though, Wright was much improved and shock horror look what happens when you take your man on.

Sarcevic and Pointon again with the goals, it's vital we get some proper depth in that position because we're half the team when either doesn't play.

 

Although we're 2nd in the league and have had an amazing home record over the last 12-18 months, I still sense a nervousness in the crowd. The backing was sporadic until the first goal and even after that we didn't really relax until Bobby scored. Has it become inbuilt in us that we expect it all to come crashing down, and therefore hold back from giving all out support for most of the match? The support (in terms of noise, not numbers) at the beginning of the season was amazing, but a couple of dodgy results seems to have dampened our spirits even though we'd won 2 on the bounce. I hope once we get back to early season performances the atmosphere will come back too.

Thats why he does my head in ( Wright ) we all he can do it but for some reason he hardly ever does .... ........lets hope yesterday has give him the confidence to have a go

 

Nerves are natural, same for the players no doubt. If we concede first , then it would get worse ?

 

They know nothing about young footballers clearly …One could see it in him when at Chesterfield last season.

 

Has ability, thats why he was at Villa and why Plymouth invested in him. He just needs consistency and better decision making. Talent wise he could hang in the Championship imo. Has the tools...

 

Cardiff and Bolton MIGHT be top two not WILL.
On what basis do either of those have a better chance than we do?
We handed Donny the title last season because of those last 10 games where we almost screwed it up. And as for Vale, how they went up I’ll never know. Absolute garbage.

 

Based on what, and that's not having a go. He doesn't have the trickery to take players on, he has a bit of pace, he doesn't score goals or create a great deal for a winger. I'd still be looking to upgrade in the summer, and if we did go up I wouldn't expect to see him lining up against us. One goal and maybe a couple of assists this season isn't a great return.

 

Hope your right mr very loyal , however I just don’t think we will be good enough for the top 2 and Cardiff and Bolton look to have a lot of quality,though I did state we have done remarkably well and certainly far better than our fellow promoted teams. Sorry I’m not quite as loyal as you are.

 

Funny how quickly they were taking dead balls and throw ins after conceding.

Had a look at a Reading forum, and saw the phrase "blatant time wasting". Although it isn't clear as to which side the poster was referring. Thought that the ref was unduly lenient in this regard, it's all very well pointing at his watch but until he imposes some sort of punishment it will simply continue.

And I would certainly echo other comments about a game of two halves.

 

Tyreik has ability, as demonstrated in his first loan spell. Issue has been the lack of confidence. The spell at Plymouth where he was discarded, destroyed his confidence. To see a resurgent Tyreik he needs to regain that confidence and swagger.

Be positive, take players on and rediscover the goalscoring form shown in his first loan spell. If he does that we definitely have a good player.

 

Yes I’m loyal to my team but I’m also fair in my assessment of other teams and I’ve seen nothing more from Bolton or Cardiff to suggest they have any better chance of auto promotion than we do.
It’s all very surprising that we find ourselves where we are after almost half the season but we can only beat the teams in front of us on the day and we are doing that consistently.

 

Well let’s hope your right and taking 37 points from just 19 games is magnificent and way above what I thought at the start of the season,and certainly if we repeat this almost 2 points per game in the second half of the season we won’t be far away.

Like I said, he needs to add consistency to his game. When he is on it he is a real asset IMO.

His stats are skewed, because we both know he hasnt played wing for us. Only wing back....and as an attacking midfielder. When did we last play with wingers?
