Yes. H’s definitely evened it up today.

 

Think we need another CB who’s decent on the ball as well, especially when playing 3 at the back. We’ve too many head it and kick it types. There’s a lad at Barnsley who I last saw off his face on North Parade who’d be a great edition to this team.

 

Metcalfe was good? He must have been wearing shovels for boots as he was skewing passes and shots all over the gaff.
Broke play up and enthusiastic, as ever, but not enough quality on the ball at all today.

Yes, he certainly was second half but I know once people get something in their head it can be hard to change.

 

Bolton look a decent side but when pressed like we did second half in the league game they looked like every other average league one side. Admittedly they should have wiped the floor with us first half. I think we've pretty much seen every side now to some level and none of them should worry anyone. This ain't a division with the likes of Sunderland, Wolves, Bristol City, Sheffield utd, Birmingham, it's one of those years where promotion is there for any of a dozen or so sides that wants it.

 

Our vulnerability with the system we play is the space beside both centre backs. Which clubs are exploiting and the reason both wing backs are not getting forward as much as they were

His shooting was appalling, but I think I did mention that in my post where I said he was very good second half but both him and Power are terrible at it. Personally I think he’s more a Power replacement than them both starting, but that’s another debate to how he played today. FotMob and the club agree with me anyway if no one else does.

 

I’m hoping we can bring a couple of really good midfielders in January probably on loan. Could make a big difference

 

I thought his face was familiar, now I know why.

 

Their goal was disallowed for offside against the player who headed the ball back across goal. I get what people are saying about the penalty but the first place Plymouth should look is it at their defender for putting his hand into the back of Humphrys when there was no need to do it, once you put your hand into the attacker's back you know they will go down so it's asking for trouble.

 

I thought metcalfe had a good game today, strong in the tackle.

The last two games we could have been beaten well in the league. I am not moaning at winning but a better team will beat us well. Onwards.metcalfe do the simple stuff. Stop that bloody shooting malarkey

 

One bit of positive news is that it looks like Power is on 8 yellow cards not 9 so a little bit of extra bit of room for him before a ban.
