Crewe is in a bit of a divert topologically so while winds are high they aren't as high as some places as it gets some protection from it so certainly local travel to the match isn't as bad as it is elsewhere. And from Bradford it's also not as bad as from other areas. It's those coming from elsewhere that's the problem. Most trains north and west of Crewe are cancelled and those areas are being advised to stay in doors.

It really is more if the pitch can stand up to the rain. Especially as it is windy enough that playing the ball in the air is going to see it impacted and if the pitch is wet enough the ball doesn't roll perfectly then it's going to be one awful match to watch

Your last 9 words are correct, regardless of the weather conditions.

Even if the pitch is playable, what kind of game is really going to be managed in 50/60mph winds and rain? Just seems brainless.

Only chance we got today is if the wind blows the ball into their net

We're starting 2 of Kav, Oliver or Sanderson.... even 60mph winds can't make a team as tragic as that!

One bit of good news, for City fans, if the match does go ahead, the wind will be coming from more or less behind the away stand (i.e. from a NW/NNW direction) and across the pitch into the faces of those in Crewe's main stand.

Barrow v MK Dons and Notts County v Colchester United are the latest League Two matches to fall victim to Darragh.

Some teams will adapt their way of playing when they need to switch their forwards and play balls through the channels or over the top for forwards to run on to. Let's see what GA does

I hope to God we're not hoofing the ball aimlessly in the general direction of Kavanagh or Sanderson. Actually, as I type this I feel we're resigned to Oliver starting and more aimless balls.
