Agree 100% for some reason many believe unless we play two strikers its not an attacking formation, I'd say the majority of football teams play with the one striker but have other attacking options who contribute with goals, when was the last time during Cooks time at the club did we get another player hitting double figures.

We've seen in the past the likes of Pointon, Walker, Pattison and even Smallwood all possess the ability to shoot, I doubt Alexander doesn't encourage them to have a go when they have an opportunity but it seems they are not prepared to back their own ability and look for an out which in many cases is no better.

The original 40 yard plus ball out of defence to Benn was quality from our CD.

I'd have to see it again but I think Benn's pull back went to Kav first who dummiesd, stepped over it and let it run to Pattison

Yup just watched it back. Kav steps over it and lets it run to Pattison. And the long ball to Benn was from Huntingdon.

So that's 3 footballing CBs ....

I dont think hes picking out certain posters but my god we do deserve a little bit better after how many years at this level and many folk me included have just simply given up the fight because to many out there believe that everything is fine with this club :(

We aint talking winning this league by a mile all we want to see that there is some kind of path to where we are going and sadly that looks like years of this guff.

When Sharpe came in and talked of long term plans i actually thought the whole process would change and we would be building a young squad that would eventually end up going up and holding its own in the league above but its simply the same old shit yet again .............and if folk are demanding more lets not forget what our own leader said in 2018 that we deserve a lot better and our own CEO said mediocrity would not be accepted and they both have massively failed on there statements.

We deserve better but its worse thsn ever
Mediocrity would not be accepted but sadly thats what we are now.

Kavanagh was a yard infront of the ball, the player most likely to get it was Walker, not sure if Pattison gave him a shout to leave it.

@NorthernMonkey@NorthernMonkey must be eating humble pie by now.

Much better defensive record at this stage of the season compared with last season when we had his beloved Platt and Stubbs in the team.

As expected, it's the chronic shortage of goals from anyone but Cook, and the lack of creativity that is hurting us, not the defence.

Which one was I wrong about? Baldwin who's played about 3 games or Byrne who has been completely overshadowed by a 37 year old that hadn't played a game since April?

That's a coincidence, it's the same number as the amount of clean sheets nearly half way into the season.

    Up by Christmas

Good point mate. The only one was Jamie Walker who hit10 last season (I don't count Tyler Smith's 12 because only 5 of those were in the League)

It shouldn't be such a surprise we have a reasonable defensive record.

At 0 0 at home to off form Barrow there were times we had 7 or 8 players behind the ball while we "attacked".

Still only kept 3 clean sheets in 18 games. Not good enough.

PS we were also shite last year. Stubbs wasnt good enough and he still aint. Plus we had the horrific Harry Lewis in goal this time lsst season.

Agreed. Whatever you thought of Marshall, Daley or Reid the one thing they possessed was pace. As a defender, apart from technical ability obviously, raw pace is one aspect they don't enjoy facing, hence the full backs, wing backs retreat that little further back, hindering their own attacking threats sonewhat.
