If being 12 points off top spot and 11 off bottom doesn't scream bang average then I don't know what does.

Only way that happens is thst we may pull 3 wins out of our next four games and hope that are piss poor recruitment team suddenly find some good players.

 

Can’t we just wallow in the joy of a half decent point away from home against a bog standard league 2 team for a bit longer before we come crashing back to earth with the realisation that we are indeed also a bog standard league 2 team?

 

As for the sending off, Pattison just played dumb football, especially shortly after scoring.if it was the other way round I guarantee our fans would be screaming for a red. Gotta be smarter than that, Alexander now without yet another midfielder for 3 games.

 

That's pretty much how I saw it. Harsh and a bit soft but stupid that he gave the ref the opportunity to make the decision. He's experienced enough to know better. I'd be very surprised if they even try to appeal that.

 

If they do appeal it will get thrown straight out.
No obvious reason to overturn the decision.

 

Fans can scream about a soft red but they all know how the game is played these days. Any chance a team gets to get an advantage and they will take it.

I Gulp at the teams we are playing in the next 3 or 4 games and hope something changes like team bonding that set up a mini run at the end of last season,for that to happen we need to start keeping clean sheets and scoring from more players in the team.

 

At the moment this season is exactly the same as last season, we'll be in with a chance of getting position 6 or 7 with about five matches left and it will be big-upped that we're in with a shot of promotion.

In reality, the club has failed to address the key challenge that was obvious last season - who can score goals aside from Cook, and ok there's been some injuries BUT how do we play in a way that creates more chances? If we were creating chances and our second string forwards/attacking midfielders were missing them then I'd be more reassured but that is obviously not the case.

 

I thought I'd play fair by suggesting my plan on here first. The responses are mixed. Interestingly most of them can't work out what happened on first viewing with the majority saying it looks like Pattison kicked / stamped their player on the follow through. If you see the ref, from his view all he can see is a swinging leg and their player rolling around like he's just been booted.

 

Yer but the happy clappers said we had to give it the first 10 games to see how the league settled so they maybe don't count and even though some teams started really well and are pushing away at the top it doesn't matter because there's still half the season to go, or something.

 

I think that will see it overturned myself.

There's a good chance the referee will cite an incident that didn't happen in his report (a bad tackle or challenge), rather than violent misconduct or whatever booting a ball at someone would class as.

 

Think that windfall suddenly disappeared after the final whistle at Morecambe.
