I don’t think we would have played that way at all Dave, it would have been in the air all the time. I don’t think it was a day for the airiel game.

That's what Bronco's saying. It should never be the day for the airiel game, even when Cook is playing.

I thought Kavs pace was a breath of fresh air to a certain degree , instead of lumping it upwards. Not sure Cook would remotely have the same effect oddly.

A lot of the crap served up recently is down to Alexander and his strange selections. Huntingdon looked like a good League 2 centre half, he read the game well alongside winning most of his challenges. He also seemed more vocal today, perhaps a sign he now feels part of whats happening.

Benn and Richards did the wing back rolls a lot more consistently today, both getting forward and defending

I just despair of all the needless yellows we pick up, especially Sam Walker......

Agreed we seem to have had a few suspensions and really we haven't done anything of note to earn them.

His passing is decent as well, or was today anyway.

Richards has had a decent season in my view. Been a solid player and tries to contribute at the top end.

I'd hope it might have been because we didn't have a big unit to hit but I suspect as you say the weather conditions played a large part of his starting 11, but I seriously believe Cook could play within that formation, there is no need to lump it up to the lad or does having Cook up top make the other players believe launching the ball is our default ball.
Steady improvement from what we saw today (players coming back) has got to be a positive going forward, Alexander gave the game away during his pre game interview by replying to the question with regards two men up top, a little more composure from our players we could have won todays game.

Baldwin has carried on where he left off, Huntingdon is marshalling the defence well!

Watching him last week at Morecambe as well he was constantly talking to Shepherd and helping him through the game so I'm sure he's a good player to have around the changing room as well and a natural leader. He seems perfect for the middle of the back 3 and the position suits him perfectly for the point in his career. Based on the last 2 games he's got to be the 1st choice for the middle of the back 3.

Did you see Huntingdon have a fairly heated conversation with ref? It went on for several minutes.

So that's a much better performance, but it's 1 win in 9, anyone else thinking it might be the end of GA if we don't beat Swindon? Most likely be in the bottom half of we don't win next Saturday too, could well end today in the bottom half.

    Results aren't going our way.

Playoffs out of arms reach, and 6 games without a win.

Results like the draw against Barrow really punish us when we get respectable draws against sides like Crewe.

But I don't suppose there's any use looking at the playoffs since we can't seem to beat those teams.

Not for one minute am I suggesting after watching today performance we are going to go on a good run but I do believe it does show us that we can play on the front foot controlling the ball and allowing players to show they have more in the locker than launching it.
Huntingdon looks a steady head in defence and that should help his fellow defenders as you say, Pattison (apart from his petulant moment) looks to be getting up to speed, could the likes of Kelly, Sarcevic, Wright and maybe bringing 2 more players with a bit of quality in the transfer window turn our season around ?.

Just to reiterate - this is an absolutely appalling decision from the referee.

    What a load of shite.

    1) There is absolutely no time between the referee awarding the free kick and Pattison kicking it
    2) Bogle rolls into the kick, again, as previously stated - he wasn't even facing that direction when Smallwood fouled him
    3) There's no reason to assume the referee is going to give that foul anyway, it's something and nothing

Absolutely appalling decision from the referee.

I think discipline as whole with this team is a massive issue.

silly bookings most weeks for walker, shepherd and Smallwood, the constant chit chat back to the referee from all players , none of it helps carry any favour.

They say good discipline starts from the top and Alexander himself has had one ban is now a third of the way onto another one, with Lucketti and Doyle has picking up bookings on the way

Very surprised at all the positive comments It looked like a gale out there so the standard of football from both teams was commendable. But - Pattison's sending off was symptomatic of the club and Graham Alexander mentality.

First of all no excuses for Pattison's red card. A nasty and cowardly thing to blast the ball at someone on the floor. Of course he was sent off. No real reason he did this. Very poor discipline. Where does this come from? Well the manager is hardly a good example now having 4 cautions and persistently blames refs whilst players keep giving away unnecessary fouls and chalking up yellow cards.

This good chance of 3 points was not lost because of bad luck..Alexander needs to examine his attitude and example
