Not massively impressed with Crewe

Expected them to be a lot better but the conditions obviously played a part.

 

We could have won it with 10 men if we'd have a change of mentality

 

Watching the red card clip back a few times, Smallwood has the ball the entire time and walks away from Bogle with it. Pattison wasn't really anywhere near it with his swing and certainly didn't kick the ball into Bogle. I bet the red was for a reckless lash into Bogle, rather than kicking the ball into Bogle which the commentary team said.

 

A keeper comes out to cover his near post.
He had 3 other ways to score that and chose the only one the keeper was ready for.

 

Good result considering we went down to 10 men.
Really good performance and enjoyable game to watch, wish I went now .

 

For most of the game Hunty was as solid as a rock

 

Quite a few of them have been for dissent as well and he's not the only one either.
Thankfully Kelly is back from his injury so can cover for Shepherd when he gets his inevitable 10th yellow card as he's not going to go 20 league games without getting 3 more yellows.

 

Can't fault them today. A very good result under the circumstances. A lot more fight and they tried to play more on the deck today.

We now need to make sure we get back to winning ways at home to Swindon next week, ahead of a few tricky games after that over Christmas and New Year

4 points from today and next Saturday would have been seen as very good before today’s game.

 

That was much, much, much better. For me, we were the better team throughout that game even after the red card. Some really decent performances Huntington, Smallwood, Walker, Richards all played well. Think Kavanagh did well in the role he had to play. Pattison was on track for player of the match so he will be disappointed how the game turned out for him.

Although they will be happy with the result and performance, and they should be, we really have to get back to winning ways. Under the circumstances it’s a decent point, but feel a little like 2 lost.

I think he's only started 11 or 12 league games too. His cards per minute ratio must be the worst in the EFL at this rate.

 

I like the look of Huntington and fully expect him to get an extension on his contract to the end of the season.

So far in the 2 league games he's started he's won 17 out of 17 aerial duels.

 

Usually the case against the better sides in this poor league, Walsall, Gillingham, Doncaster although we didn't get anything from the game, for some reason we struggle against the poor sides.

 

Usually inconsistencies from the officials.

 

Which makes you ask why once he came to the club we did not play the lad and preferred to shoehorn Halliday into a CD position ?.

 

A proper fan would have been there cheering the lads on.

 

You can tell Huntingdon has played the majority of his career above league two.
