    This time I think an early notification makes a lot of sense. There are a lot on here who travel quite a distance @Park bantam@Park bantam and @Stafford Bantam@Stafford Bantam immediately come to mind but there are others. Credit to the officials and the club for an early inspection.

    Plus there are many transport difficulties today. Trains are blocked between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden and overhead power lines are down on the Airedale line. Lots of buses are disrupted.

    TBVF @shoatsy@shoatsy I am usually keen to go and sometimes enthusiastic. But the drive over, finding parking (they are turning Sunbridge Road into a super cycle highway **so funny**so funny**so funny), then a 15 minute + trudge to VP on icy pavements, getting soaked through, in gale driven rain, is not my idea of fun. Happy it has been postponed.

    I go to the Boxing Day game, but have never seen it as some massive day in my calendar like some. Would happily spend it with the family tbh. If it’s between that and a hot Tuesday night game in July, without a million layers on and still being freezing then I know which I’d pick.

    Similar but I absolutely love the boxing day racing especially the king George. There so much on offer on boxing day from family, sport, socialising that losing football on boxing day wouldn't be that bad.

    That said, if we were higher up in the football pyramid, my thoughts may be changeable.

    Yeah Leeds or Huddersfield, instead of Port Vale or Morecambe bringing a couple of hundred does change the appeal.

    Correct me if i am wrong,but it sounds like the covers were left off after the Rotherham match.Makes you wonder how hard they actually tried to get this game on.
