You watch, weather will be cracking by 3.00pm and we'll all wonder why we're not there ......

There are some covers but they have very limited benefit and use, they they were really beneficial and cost effective then most clubs at this level would have them. I'm not sure how much they'd help today as the frost covers have been on nearly all week and there's been very little rain until now.
The only one that might work is the air dome type but they are expensive, take up a lot of storage space and then like you say there's the issue of where does the rain go once it runs off the covers.

That's ominous an early inspection, especially for the concerns of the surrounding area which will still be snowbound then

There will be a pitch inspection ahead of today’s Sky Bet League Two fixture with Accrington Stanley at 10.30am.

This afternoon’s match referee will assess the current condition of the University of Bradford Stadium’s playing surface. Surrounding areas will also be taken into consideration.

Pretty certain this will be off.

Yes I see that, but do most other clubs at our level have the same pitch drainage problems we have. Maybe it should be considered given our fairly unique pitch.........but I still don't know how to get rid of the water

Pretty sure it will be off now
One of those not deemed fit to play at 10.30 but playable at 3.00
    No win situation really

Hope it's on! I'm well excited for this one and I'm waiting to set off from harrogate to get a few beers down the neck at oddfellows on the way

I am not sure if Accrington stayed in a hotel last night given the distance to travel!!

In reality as it is just over an hours drive and 33 miles, then surely thy don’t need to set off until 12.30/1.00 pm.

Better to have the inspection. Other than having a coach to hire/cancel, I struggle to see what costs Accrington could put on City.

I’ll probably go if it’s on, but I simply can’t be bothered so I hope it’s off. A nice movie and takeaway is a much better option these days sadly.

They'll probably set off a bit before then and stop somewhere on the way for their prematch meal. I guess if they've booked and paid that, we might have to foot the bill if the game is called off.

Given the time of the inspection I'd guess that they will be leaving at around 10:30am and they'll have a hotel somewhere in the area booked for their pre-match meal. Leaving at 12:30 even without the weather would be risky.

Same here, its hard enough getting motivated to go when its sunny and warm, never mind traipsing through sleet and snow.
