Another strange weekend in the league with only 1 of the top 9 going into today winning. The table is really getting tight with 1st to 6th separated by 2 points and first to 13th only separated by 7 points.

 

Even worse, Huddersfield just 3 points behind us with a game in hand, home draws killing us at the moment ...

 

Best 0-0 I've seen for a while. Both teams going for it. Physical. Wright superb at the back. Just a little bit more composure and ability up top and it could have been perfect.

 

Its a good point being made. We were shooting a lot at the start of the season and we seem to be shooting less.

Hard work will get us so far but we need to take a shot from time to time.

 

Tough tough game today and a very hard earned brilliant point. Let’s not waste it by not beating Exeter

 

We have to start winning at home.

 

I expected to have at least a shot on goal in 45 minutes. Is that unreasonable?

In the end it's a good point and we battled well in a low quality game.

 

I expected defeat today against a side on peak form. We have lost a bit going forward but the defensive side of the game was important today and we nearly nicked it at the end. Should’ve no complaints today great to see Baldwin back second half we have badly missed him

 

Good to have Baldwin back, he’ll make a big difference at the back. Similar with having Sarcevic fit.

The complete lack of a goal threat is a concern now. Our early season attacking prowess seems to have evaporated in recent weeks. A good quality striker is the key focus for January in my opinion (easier said than done though).

 

I expected defeat today too. It's a good point, and a generally resilient display

how can a centre forward effect the game when the whole of the first half was in there half he needs service.

Getting Baldwin back hopefully the service will improve down the right and get him in the game

 

It will be interesting to see how Baldwin is used over the coming weeks. I agree with Alexander that he is best in the middle of the 3 as it allows switches to both sides easier and it speeds up the ball through the back 3. However, in the last few games Joe Wright has been brilliant and deserves to start every week based on form.
It will probably end up that the compromise is both playing with Wright in the middle and Baldwin on the right but if Wright was to get injured/suspended we have a ready made replacement.

Great point, but the elephant in the room of no wins in 8 needs talking about. Our strikers aren’t up to much.

 

Better second half performance, much more even. Need to win Exeter now.

 

I thought we defended well in the first half. We took the game to them in the second half We need quality up front.
