A bit late posting but how do we think Darren Drysdale did? I thought he had an ok game however there was one incident in the last 10 minutes when Tyreik (I think) was “fouled” but he didn’t give it, yet 1 minute later exactly the same challenge was made on a Bolton player and he gave it.

I remember Max Power making the point to him very strongly, pointing at both fouls.

Other than that he did ok overall despite a few soft free kicks.

 

He was no different to the majority of refs.

It’s just our fans have a pre programmed opinion that he’s going to be biased against us.
Nobody has mentioned that he failed to book Joe Wright when he rugby tackled their player on the halfway line.
Just the incidents when it went against us.

He’s a shit ref most of the time.
One of those refs who want the game to be all about them.
He actually kissed the ball when he took it off the stand thing as the players and officials come on to the field.

He doesn’t just become a shit ref when he officiates our games.
He’s a shit ref in lots of other games.

I actually thought he had a decent game but that doesn’t fit with the preconceptions of some fans.

 

My criticism in the past has been that he has always wanted to be the centre of attention in all games but on Saturday he sat back and let the game flow.

 

The one obvious error for me was not giving their lad a yellow for pulling Wright down at the edge of the box but no big deal in the scheme of things.
He's not a great ref as has been mentioned but there are others equally as bad if not worse.
The ref at Stevenage was the worst I've seen this season by a country mile!
