For one minute on Saturday I thought Pattison was out for another 3 week concussion protocol….Do we think he’ll be offered a new deal at the end of the season? Unfortunately for me, I doubt it based on his injury record, but if he can have a strong consistent final 6 months, then who knows. He needs to get on the scoresheet a lot more than he has. I know he scored more for Harrogate before joining us, but has never really got going for us.

I said on another thread the other week, of all the players we have out of contract I think Baldwin, Pattison and Tyreik have a better chance than the rest for a new deal but I think we will be more ruthless with moving guys on now. Pattison is a great midfielder in my view, he is our best central outlet, someone who can get the ball forward and drive to add numbers in the middle.

However in any professional in any sport, your best ability is availability, and he just has always struggled here with that. After 3 seasons, Patto might well want a change of scenery too if he continues to be a rotation player. Kinda rare these days for L1/L2 players to spend so long at one club and be first teamers.

If he was ready to be a regular starter for us then we either would have had to pay a lot more for him or it would have been a loan.
21 is still young and plenty of time to develop. I'm convinced the long term play for him is that he will be a squad player this year learning from Power then become more regular next season and the season after take over from Power in the midfield. If we didn't see a long term future in him we wouldn't have given him a 3 year deal.

I’ll try and post some interviews , however if I forget the best way is to go on Y/T and “search” the opponent for pre and post match interviews.

In this case I searched just “ Bolton Wanderers” .

    Hope that helps .

Lack of consistency due to injuries or indeed protocols and appendix ops. He’s not had the best of luck tbh.

It was a really good point on Saturday, which is far better than I thought we would do
To be still be sat where we are in the league after our very modest return over the past 5 weeks is amazing
It shows how even the league is this season and if we had that little more quality, we could have been sat well clear at the top
Let’s hope we have a few rabbits in the hat for January
Who knows, it could be a double promotion
    How fantastic would that be

Well I was more thinking weeds united and passing those Sheffield boys on their way down
A couple of games against the happy hammers wouldn’t go a miss though
    We can only dream

I see @Kevin1954@Kevin1954 has replied but another good tip is go onto BBC Sounds and you’ll easily find each club’s page where the pre and post match interviews are.

Let's be honest, who would have said we'd be in this position at this stage, perspective needed.
we need to start winning at home again but that performance on Saturday away against a seasoned and fancied (and very very good) Bolton team was immense. The chasm of cash needed between the leagues these days is immense which is testament to where GA has taken us. Yes I want another promotion but I also want us to consolidate and if we finish mid table that will do for me. Then go and build a few more blocks.

26k full house. After the last few years that’s a helluva change. Great to see though. Long may it last.

we have played nearly all the top sides up or near the top and we are in second place.
now that we are to be playing teams a lot lower down I think the goals from our forwards should start
to flow again, if not then there is a need to look at strengthening the squad.

Let’s hope so, but my point remains that we will need to replace Cookie with a younger more mobile version at some stage. Finding one will be expensive or very hit and miss. If we make the playoffs we’ll need someone who can score against another top 6 side.

The mad thing is, if those draws had all been turned into wins by some fluke or other, we’d be 12 points ahead at the top. Ofc can go the same way if we’d conceded. Crazy division so far.
