I thought he had a very good 45 minutes yesterday but still needs to do a lot to convince me. He's like a horse with blinkers on at times, seems unaware of team mates around him when laying off or in better attacking positions than himself. I'm not saying we need to replace all of our forward players but there isn't one I wouldn't replace if you see what I mean. And I include the likes of Sarcevic and Pointon in that.

How this lad has been a league 2/national league player nearly all his career is bemusing. League 1 level ability wise all day long. Consistency levels remind me of Stephen Darby.

Really poor comment in my opinion, gets way more stick from some on here than he warrants

Suppose it depends how quickly people commented.

For us, and a good proportion of those around us on Saturday he was garbage early on in the game.

He didn't do a thing right in the opening ten minutes and clearly got an earful at half time.

In the second half he was much improved however, and as always looks a better player with space ahead of him.

 

He can be a frustrating player for sure. He got into some great positions early on but his crossing and passing massively let him down.
Gets lots of credit for keeping going though and he had an excellent 2nd half. If he can do that consistently he can make that position his own because I think we look better with Touray in the back 3.

 

There's two things that Touray gives us in that back 3.

Firstly, he has the pace to cover for the other 2 CBs. Most games there will be at least one occasion where tidies up or prevents an attack as the last man. Secondly, his ability to link up with Tyreik Wright and Bobby means we can counter-attack rapidly down the left.

We are a better team with Touray at LCB.

Yes that would explain his reluctance to take his man on at times. That may come with a decent run in the side.

 

Hard to work out what he is. Isn't a winger as he doesn't beat a man but is better in the forward position than at left wing back. Looked better yesterday when he was further forward of Pointon rather than behind him. I'll be honest Torquay looks more likely to create something that Wright as with the cross for Lapslie
