A mate of mine who's a Huddersfield fan went today with his daughter. Watching as a neutral his comment was don't you do anything else apart from run the channels and lump crosses in? Thought that was pretty damning of the way we played, not just today but regularly. Only time I've seen us go down the middle and open up a team was against Gillingham cos they were slow in the centre of the park.

 

Get rid in Jan, how many more games does he need to prove himself?

My reply to that (after seeing Huddersfield v Tamworth) would be at least we have a semblance of a tactic.

 

Point ive been saying in my posts, accountability! Doesn't seem to be an issue at the club, they just plod along doing there own thing. Theres no visible cohesion the fans can see

 

Well after my post yesterday Alexander was very much the fool sadly, disappointing day to say the least. I said way back in January that I wouldn’t miss him if he left and i certainly stand by that, we lack clear passages of play and are unable to sustain pressure against crap teams. Sure we’ll go on another winning run and people will say what’s the fuss about but our next losing streak is always around the corner.

That said, with Rupp, Sparks and Gent I’ve absolutely not faith in picking yet another manager. Say what you want about Hughes but he gave us passages of structured play, even if it was slow, lethargic and boring.

I said we’d finish between 7-10th and that was me being positive as I try to be pre season, this club continues to disappoint and somewhat upset me under this regime. Anyone who knows my posts will know this isn’t reaction to two league defeats on the trot, but we really need a buyer with some vision for this club because we’re getting left behind by many clubs.

 

We can go kn about GA and a couple of season down the line we will be pulling up someone elseto bit but until the real issue of the problemthen simply expect thisshit to happen

Just seen a T&A headline with Alexander bemoaning the fact that we shot ourselves in the foot with a slow start and giving up a cheap goal.
Try taking a look in the mirror Graham at where the blame lies for the first half performance. How about less of this for a start?

 

Agree. That defeat is down to GA's bonkers team selection, every fan, Radio Leeds and Simon Parker all called it before the game started, yet GA hasn't the decency to hold his hands up and admit he got it wrong.

Why can't he get the players up for it from the start of matches and stop the alarming number of times we fall behind early in games. If memory serves me right, we conceded in the first minute of his first ever game in charge?.

Time to go for me, and no more dinosaur managers. We should be looking and identifying younger managers and coaches on the up, a task that David Sharp should be capable of.

As a footnote, great to see Idle lad and City fan Tom Cleverley doing so well in his first managerial role at Watford.

 

The owner would sell at a realistic price.
The new owner would replace our raffle ticket seller.

Stay in the league and don't go bust is clearly still the objective despite the lies and spin coming from VP Towers and at the moment Sparks is achieving that and all on a reduced budget from last year with a couple of fees for players thrown in.

Maybe @Loyalbantam could confirm the progress achieved in the last 6 soon to be 7 seasons that fans have spent their hard earned on season tickets etc and outline his "solid plan" for progression (there isn't one) !! on or off the pitch
Fans have different opinions on the plight we find ourselves in and I have no problem with that, this season is my first in nearly 40 without a season ticket, am I missing it no, it's rinse and repeat for the last 6 seasons hire manager fire manager pep talk from Mr Rupp at season ticket sale time etc etc it's so predictable
Many posters on here know we are going nowhere under the current stewardship alas we are powerless to change things but live in hope

 

I think the current league position sums us up well as a club both on and off the pitch. 10th, 5 points off second, 5 points off 17th. A club that is neither bad or good. A plodding league 2 club with no real unique selling point in the way we play and no real ambition to be anything else above that other than to pull a rabbit out of the hat.
I did say yesterday it wasn't a time to panic and I still stand by that. But that team formation at kick off was unforgivable, I've seen it too many times now.

Does GA discuss team selection/tactics with Gent Sharpe Lucketti etc before the game
If so after yesterday's starting 11/tactics we are well and truly up the creek without a paddle
100 % of the fans knew it wouldn't work why didn't they

 

Looking at the table, I honestly don't see how we make the top 7. I don't see Port Vale, Walsall, Notts or Donny dropping out of the top 7 at any point, and I'd probably add MK Dons to that as well now that they've climbed their way in there. Crewe are also likely to be there or there abouts as they were last season, which only leaves the spot currently held by Grimsby up for grabs, with Gillingham, Chesterfield and Wimbledon all looking more capable of taking it than us (imo).
For a league that is supposedly considerably weaker than it was last year, it's downright embarrassing that yet again, we don't look anywhere near good enough.

 

Certainly zero competition. We have 3 strikers I would get rid of before him.

 

One of the interesting quotes from early season when it was pointed out we have a horrendous, unimproved squad from a disastrous transfer campaign

Sadly the word Ambition is a word that shouldn't be used when talking about the present day Bradford City.
The lack of it is a bitter pill to swallow, wholesale change further up the food chain is required not the usual shop floor clear out before the product expires.
