The way Redfearn was banging on, if i hadn't seen the game i'd have thought it was another Wycombe scenario where we were did actually batter them.

 

I cba checking but someone on X said that was Oliver’s first league start for 22 months.

Please god it’s his last with us for another 22.

 

Bring back Kiwomya,I thought he was bad but Refearn is at another level. Total delusion!

 

Enough is enough.

Talk of this by the manager, talk of that by the CEO, talk of this by the director of football, talk of that by the head of recruitment. There’s absolutely NO CONSISTENCY throughout the club. The manager changes the starting line up each week. The players start again each Saturday. The top draw move the goalposts each week. The very big boss is only moved to speak a few times a year.

As you can tell, this was actually gearing up to be some big Boy From Brazil type post (strongly recommended), but you know, just like our players, manager, coaches, physio, scout, analyst, recruitment team, and whoever the feck steals a wage, I can’t be arsed either.

40 years supporting the club. Used to be fun. You can take the losses when there’s some character and pride there. There’s nothing even close to the past years with this set up,

 

Leaving aside the bizarre starting eleven, today demonstrated yet again that we have one, single tactic and that is to get the ball wide and look to get a cross in. Sometimes we can't so we play the ball across and try on the other side. Sometimes we get a poor cross in and it's easily cleared. Very occasionally we get a good cross in and nobody gets near it. Even more rarely a good cross might result in a chance which we miss. And finally, every blue moon we get a goal.
We never try and create anything through the middle. Our two forward midfielders are almost entirely employed in playing wide to help get the cross in.
Not only is this Incredibly boring it's also self defeating as it's never going to produce results to mount a serious promotion challenge.
On another tack, I said around this time last year that our dreadful recruiting in the summer of 2023 meant that not only would we not get promotion last year but this year too. And now the equally dreadful incomings this last summer will mean that pattern is repeated next season. We just can't get rid of enough of our earlier mistakes to be able to build a truly competitive side.
I just can't see an end to this repeated cycle. Truly depressing.

 

I think it's totally right to be p....d off tonight. All the bollocks from Alexander about 'being the best version of ourselves ' blah blah, we do it once in a blue moon, we are mostly a shambles from top to bottom, no consistency, very little excitement - and no one seems to be holding this sh..'show to account.

Those running the show should be embarrassed but whats the point of stating the obvious. Nothing has really improved since we arrived back in the basement league, and no sign it will.

Didn't buy a season ticket this year and won't buy one for next. I'm done with this club.

 

Listened to the second half and the highlight for me with 5 minutes left, Redfearn was adamant we were going to win the game.

Other than that nothing of note happened.

This seasons league is one of the worst for a long time and we are still making hard work of it.

I applaud those that travel in numbers out of loyalty rather than hope these days.

 

We are 2 (two) points off the play offs.

This really is a piss poor division and performances like today just emphasise that.
A team that haven’t won in 5 league games easily kept us at arms length for the full 90 minutes.

 

I doubt that position will change come the end of the season. There just isn't enough depth in the squad to make the difference needed to get up.

 

2 points off the play offs isn't an achievement with the lack of quality in this division, in many ways its a total embarrassment! Who at the club is holding their hands up that this isn't good enough?!

 

It's not the managers that are a problem at this club.

 

Just heard GA interview, yet again we weren't the best version of ourselves - both as a team, as individuals and himself as a manager.
We sign crocks and don't seem to be surprised when they struggle to be fit - who is running this bloody club ? They are sadly not fit for purpose

 

I absolutely recommend watching a film that’s out there now, touted to win an Oscar or two. The Substance. If only we could have something similar (Spoiler Alert) that gets us back to the best we’ve been. I’m saying Championship season leading to promotion. We need some sort of weird voodoo/drugs to get even into the playoffs imo.

 

I agree there was no need for that sort of reaction but neither was there any need for the Fleetwood players to over react like they did Infront of our fans, I thought the ref could have handled it better.
