Morais says it nearly every game he commentates on, Jamie Walker has to start when fit. Have to agree. He’s definitely playing in the role that suits him best right now. A lot of decent competition in that position once a few injuries return.

 

I love Jamie, I really do and he is above this level in all honesty....But hand on heart....tell me, has he really, really influenced games enough, consistently enough?

He frustrates the life out of me, I know there could be so much more if he really grabbed EACH game by the scruff of the neck!!

He’s played with turds a lot of time in dysfunctional set ups in bad sides. He’s the second name on teamsheet after Cook for me.

 

An enjoyable game and although it felt a bit like 2 points dropped at the end, a draw was probably a fair result overall.

 

Agree , it's often that all important last action that lets walker down. Twice tonight he got into the box and made a balls of the cross, it happens multiple times a game where all that's missing is that final ball or shot.

Stands to reason it's why he is where he is, but it's probably the reason why he has never kicked on as much as he should

 

Trouble is we miss him when he's not there, so his influence on the game is more than just goals and assists. He relieves pressure on the defence by carrying the ball out and winning free kicks by having the opponent run into the back of him. He carries the ball well and links up play with Halliday or Pointon. He does however let himself down with the final touch.

 

Had he blown before Richards went into the box, then fair enough, but from what I saw, he didn't blow until after Richards was pulled down in the box. Penalty all day long. Looking at the Shepherd handball, I think we got away with one there so maybe he was balancing it up.

 

Only caught 20 minutes of the game on the box. But what I saw was Halliday looking poor again, not sure what's happened to the lad. Looks to have no confidence at all and always looking for a pass instead of whipping/crossing it in.

Sanderson to start Saturday surely? If not then at least let Tyler have it from the off.

 

I believe that if you have an academy, then at least 1 home grown player must be on the bench. As Bobby started, Hadi was the only option. This is why some teams (such as Barrow who don't have an academy) can only have 6 subs instead of 7

 

I bet the stats are interesting when he isnt playing though?????

Put it this way had he stayed fit lsst season we would have been in the play offs ..............Doncasrer away last season when he got injured anf look at the drop off in form.

They say stats dont lie but i can guarantee we look a far better team when he does play.

 

Agree, we needed a presence against their CB's so I was calling for Oliver to come on, but alas we got Smith. Kav absolutely useless for several games now

 

Several? He’s been poor in every game he’s played this season. Still looking for his first goal I believe? No wonder Sandersons attitude might have dropped in training, if Kav keeps getting picked each week. Just doing a few one twos each game shouldn’t warrant first team football. It might have been offside last night, but he didn’t know that. Two yards out and goes with the wrong foot to put it wide. I’m not even going to mention him colliding with Cook. The guy needs a rest to get his head straight and calm.

Sorry he’s totally blowing it for me BB. It’s like carrying a passenger , to be later replaced by another in Smith. Great second half, played them off the field but Cookie and the C/B ‘s can’t be expected to get all the goals!

A big Rupp investment is needed in 8 or so weeks time ! It’s really that simple for me. I thought the Fulham lad would be the answer but seems to have fallen by the wayside?

Kavanagh and Smith have had 25% of the season to show they could be the one?…….

Ridiculous substitution. Yes it was like for like, but when like for like is just swopping one ineffective player for another, it's a complete waste of time.
